La Souqueto B&B is an award winning boutique guest house in the newly created region of Occitanie (once called Languedoc), France. We are located in the centre of a small, thriving Medieval village called Mirepeisset a short walk away from the stunning Canal du Midi or a swim in the gin clear waters of the river Cesse, behind the house.
We were the recipients of TripAdvisor’s ‘Travellers Choice’ Award and to date we have received over 240 5* reviews. We are delighted that La Souqueto B&B has been recognised as a leading B&B in Languedoc.
We have 4 rooms that can accommodate up to 10 people. Our independent apartment/Gites (sleeps 4) is offered as self catering accommodation.
There is a FREE car park just opposite the entrance to the house and an excellent shop selling fresh bread/croissants, cheese, hams and quality Minervois wine.
We are ideally situated for a long weekend in the sun or an extended family holiday. Carcassonne and Beziers Airports, the un-spoilt beaches of The Med and the foothills that lead to some of the most beautiful and historic villages in Occitanie (Languedoc) are only 40 minutes from our b&b in Languedoc. Closer to home we offer our guests short and long cruises on the canal du midi on our boat Bella Mia. We also have fabulous walks through vineyards or along the Canal du Midi and cycle tracks leading up to the Black mountains behind us a stones-throw from our back door.
The views from most of our rooms are of nature with trees, vineyards and the Black Mountains in the background. The beautiful river Cesse passes behind us where swimming or lazing on its banks is a must. Or, a few minutes walk along a path shaded by Plane trees takes you to a tapas bar on the Canal du Midi.
Apart from being able to share our considerable knowledge of the Occitanie region (Languedoc) we can also offer Canal du Midi cruises using our classic river boat Bella Mia, or Wine Tours of outstanding Minervois vineyards.
