Granary Gîte makes for perfect family holiday accommodation in Brittany.

The buildings at Kergudon date from the 17th century.  Granary was added to the main building sometime in the 19th century but has now been fully refurbished to create the perfect cottage for a self-catering holiday in Brittany.

Whilst offering everything that you would expect from a luxury self-catering holiday cottage in Brittany, the Granary has off street parking for two cars, a private sun terrace and gated garden laid to lawn.

The accommodation is located over 3 floors.

As you enter Granary through the front door you will find yourself between the large modern kitchen on your left and the family dining area on your right. The ground floor is light and airy and has a wood burning stove and comfy reading area next to the main staircase. The family bathroom complete with bath/shower is also on the ground floor to the rear of the property.

The fully-equipped kitchen has been fitted recently and is fully equipped with matching glasses and crockery and high quality cutlery and cooking equipment. You should find everything that you need to cook and cater in the Granary but we can always provide additional items upon request.

Leading from the dining area are the stairs to the first floor and the main family lounge which has comfy sofas and a large day bed. The lounge has lovely views over the garden and of the Saint-Cadou forest and ‘mountain’ beyond. Throughout the day the lounge is bathed in sunlight and is a beautiful and peaceful room. The lounge has a T.V. with both English and French channels, a DVD player and a Bluetooth enabled stereo.

Also on the first floor is the master bedroom with its king-sized bed and ensuite shower room with a large shower and a heated towel rail. The master bedroom has French country style furniture and the bed is dressed in Egyptian cotton linen with a soft duvet and both duck feather and fibre pillows. The master bedroom provides beautiful views south facing views.

On the second floor there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin.  Both top floor bedrooms have French country style furniture and neutral colour schemes.

Brittany family holidays are just wonderful based from the Granary gîte. The gîte is a pretty cottage with traditional Breton blue shutters and door. The sunny garden is gated and provides easy access to our welly boot and drying room, fitness studio and the Grange which houses our family games room.

Additional secure parking can be arranged in the Grange at no additional cost. In our bike shed you will find two intermediate mountain bikes and four adult mountain bikes for you to use and explore. We do not provide cycling helmets so please make sure that you bring your own helmets with you to France.

To the front of the cottage you will find the sun terrace which is absolutely lovely for breakfast and lunch. The top of the garden keeps the sun in the evening making it perfect for sunbathing. We have 6 luxury sun loungers with thick cushions. The terrace also has a BBQ, sun parasol a large table and six chairs. The BBQ also have a complete set of BBQ tools so that you can cook up some of the gorgeous local sausages and chops.

We provide additional beach towels to use on our luxury loungers and to take to the beaches and the lake. The Lac Du Drennec is only 2.5km from Kergudon and has two lovely beaches and several secluded ‘coves’ where you can swim from.

All of guest at Kergudon can use the communal facilities which include a boot room (to borrow wellingtons for walking in the forest) with washing machine and tumble dryer; a fitness suite (one of the owners is a fully-qualified Personal Trainer so they can put you through your paces when you’re with us or draw up a personal exercise plan); mountain bikes to borrow to explore the area; petanque pitch and large family games room with a pool table, babyfoot and bar.  The games room has a projector so can be used as a cinema and reserved for a family film night.

Pricing
All prices are quoted for a week's stay in Euros but we can take payment in GBP (£) as well by cheque or bank transfer.

We ask for a minimum stay of 2 nights throughout the year with the exception of High and Seasonal periods when we ask for bookings to be made for a minimum of a week with changeover day being Saturday.  We reduce the price of a second week by 10%.

Our nightly rate is 150 euros for a maximum of 4 people.  For additional people, up to a maximum of 6, we ask for an additional 20 euros per person per night.

Stays of less than a week are charged on the nightly rate up to a maximum of the weekly cost.
