The location of the gîtes is in Vendée and nearby you will have the opportunity to take a boat trip on the canals of the Marais Poitevin . It’s a different world here, welcome to what I call my paradise.
We offer group gîtes in the Marais Poitevin - In all our homes, we encourage recycling. Especially food waste – actually, that’s not the right word – nothing is wasted here! You give my chickens your leftovers, they will give you their eggs!
GîTE L’Aquarius
This magnificent restoration of this charming property, completed in 2014, was masterfully carried out. The gite has retained many original features, such as its beams and exposed stonework which make the charm of the Marais Poitevin gîtes. The major asset of this superb house is its indoor swimming pool (7 x 3.2), heated all year round to 28°: you can swim in all weathers, and relax on the deckchairs in this large space , or around the table. From the swimming pool of this large group gîte in Vendée, a large sliding door opens onto a private terrace, lit at night , which is particularly pleasant. The living room is equipped with a wood stove and the kitchen with dining area is modern. The downstairs bedroom is very large , and the two upstairs bedrooms each have their own bathrooms.

In the village there is a small, popular restaurant, shops 2km away, and several local markets. The main shops are in Fontenay le Comte (10km). Maillezais (4km) is famous for its abbey. You will be in the Marais, and can relax in the river boats for hire on site, go cycling or stop at one of the many cafes that line the canals.
Other "must visits' are to La Rochelle, a beautiful historic city an hour's drive away, the Vendée coast and its beaches, as well as Les Sables d'Olonne, the main seaside resort nearby.
