French Holiday Cottage with Large Pool in Charente-Maritime, St Pierre D`Amilly ~ Swallows
Pegon is set in three acres, surrounded by woods and fields, yet only 4 km from all necessary amenities for an enjoyable holiday in France. The old farm of ‘Pegon’ is both safe and very suitable for children. The 6 gites are based in the original stone farm buildings and courtyard and include a lovingly restored cottage and converted stables, featuring exposed beams, and pine furniture and traditional limestone walls. The properties share use of a fantastic floodlit 12m x 6m swimming pool with roman steps and the stone flagged sunbathing patios are walled for security and incorporate a gazebo for shade.
The gites also boasts a games room with Table Tennis, Pool, Table Football, Basket Ball,
Darts and an Adult Snooker Table.
The Play Area is a safe area close to the gites and consists of Swings, Badminton net, Boules, Junior Croquet and for the very young a Paddling Pool, Sand Pit, Rocking Hen and a Tricycle. Bikes are available for guests to hire and the surrounding co8ntryside is great for exploring.
Attractions: There's a wealth of good restaurants within easy reach of Pégon. Within 5 mins: La Ferme Flammande - for good value plat du jour at midday or for evening meals. Within 25 mins - La Rochelle has restaurants in abundance and be sure to visit the beaches!
Gite 4 Swallows - Sleeps 10:
A four bedroom gite. On the ground floor it has a large open plan living/dining/kitchen with dishwasher. There is a double bedroom and WC/shower room, with facilities for a handicapped person. Upstairs has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one with bunk beds and two single beds, a bathroom with WC, and a separate shower room.
There is a large, private patio at the rear, facing west - ideal for afternoon sunbathing barbecuing and relaxing watching the setting sun.

2. DEPOSIT: A completed and signed booking form accompanied by a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total cost of the rental must be returned within 10 days of the agreed provisional booking being made to confirm the booking. If the booking is made within B weeks of the start date of the rental thenfull payment is required immediately.
3. BALANCE: The balance of the rental cost must be received at least B weeks before the start date of the rental, unless we have received written confirmation of cancellation from you.
4. CANCELLATION: If you wish to cancel your booking once a deposit or full payment has been made, we will require a letter from you, signed by the person who originally signed the booking form. In the event of such a cancellation the following charges will apply:
5. SECURITY DEPOSIT: (breakage/damage/cleaning) This is payable at the time of the settlement of the balance (separate cheque). The amount is £100 per Glte which will be refunded infull by post within the first week after your holiday if everything proves to be clean andfree of damage after your departure.
6. The rental includes normal amounts of electricity, gas and water. We reserve the right to make additional charges if consumption exceeds 50KWH or 5000 litres per week.
7. 1 pillow per person and throw over duvets are provided but the rental does not include bed linen, towels, tea towels or cleaning.
8. The maximum number of people to reside in the property must not exceed: Gite 1 = 10 + baby Unless the owner has given written permission.
9. The client is recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc, since these are not covered by the Owners insurance.
