Four Bedroom Chalet In The French Alps - Beautiful, Quiet Location, Le Grand-Bornand, France

Chalet Vif is built in traditional Alpine style on 3 floors with 4 bedrooms. There are 2 balconies: one off the large lounge; and a second off the main bedroom. The south facing aspect of Chalet Vif ensures plenty of sun and gives stunning views of the Aravis mountain range and the surrounding countryside.

All bedrooms are nicely furnished and are complete with duvets, bed linen and towels. This is our own private home so it is kept to a high standard throughout. Three of the bedrooms look directly out on to the mountains; a travel cot is stored in the chalet for use by babies/young children.

The lounge is comfortable and spacious; the kitchen is particularly well equipped for a real home-from-home experience.

Chalet Vif has easy access to the ski lift network of Le Grand Bornand and Chinaillon, and La Clusaz is just a 15-minute drive away. Nordic skiing is also excellent: Le Grand Bornand is a host of the Biathlon World Cup.

The town is still very much considered a hidden secret within the French Alps with its lovely village shops, church, town square and a weekly market. There is a thriving community throughout the year and the summers as much as the winters have become popular for outdoor sports and relaxing in the sunshine. Early summer is notable for its stunning alpine flowers; and autumn, for the beautiful reds, yellows and ochres of the wooded mountainsides.

Skiing: Over 200km of piste skiing in the Aravis range. All types of skiing are available with pistes to suit all abilities - the resort is particularly attractive outside of the main French school holiday period, because the pistes are spacious and usually very quiet and calm.

The lift network can be accessed from Le Grand Bornand, Chinaillon or La Clusaz and the snow bus stops only 150 metres away from Chalet Vif at the end of the lane, giving direct access to the pistes of Chinaillon in ten minutes.

Lift queues are rare and the area has a good snow record. The snow cannon network is also extensive.

Chalet Vif is also equipped with an excellent boot drier to ensure comfortable feet every day!

Plenty of Spring, Summer and Autumn activities, including: cycling, both road and off-road; walking; rock climbing; tennis; swimming; golf; painting; birdwatching; and paragliding.

There is an extensive outdoor swimming pool complex in the village which is open during the summer months.

Alternatively, you can just come to Le Grand-Bornand to enjoy the village, the scenery, the ambiance and the weather!

The beautiful city of Annecy and its lake with beaches is also just 40 mins away by car.
