This wonderful building has been tastefully restored to provide a high standard of accommodation for up to 15 people.
It is situated in a pretty, rural hamlet in the Foret de l’Horte et Tardoire and only a 5 km drive to Dignac where you will find local shops including a small supermarket, bakery, chemist, restaurant/bar and free tennis courts.
The tastefully furnished accommodation of the farmhouse comprises of a spacious well equipped kitchen with all facilities including dining table and chairs, walk-in store room, utility room with clothes washer and dryer machines, dishwasher, wet room with shower, basin & WC.
The large sitting/TV room features a large sofa, arm chairs, log burner/ceiling fan, satellite TV and DVD player, lounge with sofa and arm chairs, cosy log burner and a ceiling fan for the hotter days.
Converted barn comprises of a stunning, open plan sitting/dining room complete with an open stone fireplace, dining table with chairs, sofas and arm chairs, satellite TV, cloakroom with WC & basin, kitchen with all facilities including clothes washing machine, double bedroom with four poster & day bed, upstairs double bedroom with day bed, bathroom with shower.
The grounds of the farmhouse boast a large south facing terrace at the back of the house which leads out onto a private outdoor saline pool (10m x 5x) secured by a fence. This area looks out over spacious grounds with various fruit trees and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Plus, there is a full-size petanque (boules) pitch!
The historic city of Angoulême offers a variety of shops bars and restaurants to suit all pockets, all situated on quaint cobbled lanes. On one of the hotter summer days you could perhaps drive the 20 km to the beautiful Charente river where you will find a large lake for water sports.
For the young at heart take a day trip to the coast of Royan with its sandy beaches or for a bit more activity try Futuroscope Theme Park near Poitiers.

Bookings run from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am.
The price of the rent includes oil, gas, electric and water consumption, bed linens, bath towels (not pool/beach towels) as well as the house-cleaning and pool maintenance. There is Wi-Fi however the property owner is not liable for any loss or interruption of internet service and a telephone is available for in-coming calls and emergencies only.
Once your booking has been formally acknowledged by email, we will request a 33% deposit payment (or full payment if within 10 weeks of intended date of arrival) due immediately to confirm your reservation. We accept payment by bank transfer or cheque.Your reservation is not confirmed until receipt of your payment.
It is strongly recommended that flights or other travel arrangements are not booked until you have received this confirmation. If any payment due in relation to your booking is not paid by the appropriate date, we will assume that you wish to cancel your booking and will keep all deposits paid.
