Our beautiful, semi detached house is situated on the edge of the pretty little village of Paussac et St Vivien in the Dordogne. It incorporates the best of both rural and private living, along side convenient village life. The rear of the property overlooks the rolling hills and forests as far as the eye can see! Why the front faces onto a country lane and the village with a small shop less than a minutes walk away, where you can get fresh bread everyday and basic groceries. It is also a bar, so you can have a coffee or drink and something to eat if you wanted to. They even make fresh sandwiches made to take away! 

Les Cerises sleeps 6 – 8 people and has 1 acre of land. The house is a pleasant blend of young and old. The original house is over 300 years old with an extensive alterations being done in the 50’s. We have maintained some of the original French interior. It has full oil central heating and a wood burner in the snug downstairs. We have a fenced 12m x 6m pool which has sun loungers for the patio area and BBQ , outdoor table and chairs can be found on the terrace. The property is 2 tier. Upstairs is a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom including his and hers sink, shower and toilet, large lounge with patio door onto a terrace, TV with English satellite channels, DVD with library of DVDs. Wifi is available. Also a large double bedroom which has an en suite bathroom. This also can be shut off during the day and can be accessed and used via the kitchen. There is the terrace upstairs to dine out on where you can enjoy the views of the countryside, garden and pool. Downstairs in another lounge (snug) which contains the fireplace and wood burner, this has a king size pull out sofa bed and can be turned into another bedroom during your stay if required. There is also another large double bedroom, twin bedroom, separate toilet and shower room and a summer kitchen where washing machine, second fridge, double Belfast sink and kitchen cupboard can be found. This is invaluable in the summer, when you can access the kitchen straight from the pool to have get something to eat and drink or shower etc.

It is conveniently located close to well known towns such as Perigueux, Brantome and Riberac. Supermarkets are easily accessible and can be found at Tochan St Apre (Intermarche 15 minutes away) Riberac (e leclerc 25 minutes away) and Perigeux (Auchan 25 minutes away). The tiny village of Creyssac is within 10 minutes drive and has the most wonderful pizza cabin to enjoy freshly made pizza’s by the river and a house cocktail to die for. There is the town of Bourdeilles 10 minutes away, which has a lovely Chateaux to visit and restaurants around the walls of the Chateaux. The beautiful town of Brantome “The Venice of France” is 13 kilometres away. This has a market on a Friday, you can book canoeing trips around the river and river jousting on a Friday evening during the summer which is a wonderful evening out.

A travel cot is available on request as well as an additional "put you up" single bed for babies and young children should you require it. This gives you the option of the house sleeping up to 10 persons - at a small additional charge.

The property is near Perigueux, Brantome and Riberac. The airports you can fly into are Limoges which is approximately 1hr 20min away, Bergerac approximately 1 hr away or Bordeaux which is about 1hr 45min away.

Our house sleeps 6 – 8 people and has full oil central heating with a wood burner in the snug downstairs.

Usual change over day is Saturdays however we can be flexible, especially out of season. 25% non refundable deposit required upon booking and balance to be paid 8 weeks before traveling. £300 security deposit required to be refunded after house inspection after vacating the property.
