We have just returned from Coat Aillis after a super fun week. The owners are so laid back, just as well as we were a little rowdy on occasions !. The gites are well appointed that nobody heard us. We enjoyed some fun in the party barn, playing cd`s dancing and playing ping pong, great pool, lovely spacious gardens and interesting buildings. The beach was a little of a trek but nevertheless pleasant through the woods. You will need a car to get to the village and there are no taxis so beware. We had a fab evening at the festival in Plestin and were very grateful to a random local who offered to drive us home at midnight because he was a friend of Simon and Pauliene. The accommodation was good, evidently been enjoyed by many families. No IKEA, no matching crockery but certainly no shortage of interesting pots, bowls, glasses and equipment to use during your stay. This is not a complaint because we loved our accommodation, but if there are 14 of you, then the Grand Maison might be a better choice of accom than the old stables. That house has a magnificent garden, high ceilings, and plenty of space. To conclude, a great choice of a traditional French gite, owned and loved by the same owners for many years, they are hands on , friendly and helpful, we would go again.
