Overall the house is nice with plenty of space and it is well equipped. When we arrived it was all very clean and everything we needed was to hand. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Its a really nice area and great to explore the Dordogne/Perigord area. The only gripe we had was that the proximity of the other rental property to the back of the house (which is the kitchen and main bedroom) meant that if, as we did, you have anything like noisy neighbours then it can be pretty difficult to get to sleep or even to relax in the bedroom or kitchen and you may want to keep the windows closed - not a good idea in 30c+ temperatures! Next door's patio area is literally right outside the kitchen window. Overall a nice place but a shame about the layout of the two properties.

A lovely relaxing stay, away from it all but plenty that you can do in the area if you want to. Helpful owners and neighbours. Really well equipped house and great pool. Couldn't have asked for better

We have just returned after a fantastic stay at Les Noisettes. The photos do not do this beautiful house and pool justice. The house is really well equipped, a real home for home. Everything you need is there. The owners, John and Jill are lovely and were happy to help with anything we needed. Cannot recommend high enough, we will be returning!

A delightful property, tucked away but not cut-off. Deceptively large with a great layout for families where eberyone can find a quiet corner. Plenty to do indoors with TVs, books and games and a well equipped kitchen. A large and safe garden with a great pool, plenty of chairs and grass and a BBQ. Ideal for those that want to stay at home, or use it as a base to explore.

The property and location are ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. The pool and gardens are lovely and the weather was great too! You would need your own transport - the parking was ideal for 3 bikes - but could park more if needed.
Highly recommended - Mde Moutierers (? spelling sorry) restaurant down the road to junction and turn right - for a duck extravaganza! It is possible to walk but take a torch!

We so loved this property when we arrived. A delightful authentic rural farmhouse with lovely beams etc. We loved the kitchen with its great bread oven. Absolutely stunning area, and the location itself was perfect for us. plenty of places to sit and relax, eat etc whether you prefer sun or shade. Bed very comfortable- had a few late starts! :-). Make sure you visit some of the towns such as Monpezier, Eymet, Bergerac itself. Also, to canoe the Dordogne is a must. We had a fantastic Anniversary holiday and would love to go back.

Wow! the pictures just don't do 'Les Noisettes' justice. We arrived very late on Friday evening and just climbed straight into bed, so did not start exploring until the Sat morning. There were only the two of us but there was ample space for large families. The cottage interior is just so pretty, some beautiful but simple touches throughout. Hints of the local rural lifestyle and the Perigord region are dotted around the interior, Sunflowers, antique furnishings, cubby holes in the stone walls, log baskets, etc. We stayed for Christmas 2008, and the log fire and bread oven were very welcoming and a cosy necessity. The kitchen has everything you need to serve up the usual Christmas feast. To source the goodies for our Christmas meal we had no trouble in fact we were saturated with choice as there are ample local markets with all the perigord delicacies and more available. We loved it so much we want one of our own, in fact we threatened the owners with a lock change!! We are looking forward to returning to 'Les Noisettes' as we will need a base to look for our own cottage in the region. Can't wait.

A wonderful place, such a beautiful location. it's remoteness added to the magic. We loved the peace and quiet of the surroundings, whilst reassured to have a neighbour. Only slight drawback was the distance to the nearest shops (5 miles), only a short drive but missed walking to the boulangerie for fresh croissants in the morning. Can cycle to shops but need to be fit, a bit up and down hills!
Facilities very good, with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of seating in lounge, kitchen, outside eating area and pool. A well, looked after, rustic property, with great character. Would recommend to someone wanting a place away from it all. Favourite place Eymet, about 20 mins drive away, lovely little town with a great tues evening market and a good Italian Restaurant (yes I know we should have eaten French!). Lovely friendly bar opp church too. Bergerac a great place to shop, loved the old town. Holiday thoroughly enjoyed by all 3 generations of the family 14-70something!

The house is very spacious, well furnished and decorated.
Cool in summer and offers very nice corners, outside as in to read and take a nap. We hear absolutely nothing, day or night, except the sounds of nature.
Peaceful and comfortable it is an ideal place for a holiday in the countryside with a sunny terrace and pretty flowers ..
Excellent and relaxing holidays !!!!
