Cosy Brittany Holiday Cottage - In Peaceful Hamlet Of Coz Castel Near Huelgoat

Coz Castel is a quiet rural village only 2 miles from Huelgoat, a pretty town situated within the National Regional Park D’Amorique.

With a typical Breton market square and large lake, it is famous for its giant granite boulders and woodlands. The forest next to the town is said to be where King Arthur’s treasure is buried. An exciting network of trails wind their way past caves, menhirs, unusual geographical formations and the precariously named Trembling Rock! A canal path takes you past abandoned lead and silver mines. Maps and leaflets are available from the tourist office in the town.

The town of Huelgoat has a large range of bars, creperies and restaurants. Shops include charcuterie, boulangiers, pharmacies and a supermarket. Also paper and book shops provide English newspapers. A typical French market on Thursdays offers a wide range of foods and local specialities. There is also a botanic garden, especially worth a visit in spring. Art exhibitions, equestrian, walking and cycling events are also held in the town. The area boasts excellent fishing both at the nearby reservoir of St Michel and in local lakes and rivers.

Inside: The cottage consists of 1 bedroom with double bed. A living, sitting room with kitchen area. The kitchen has a fridge, cooker, electric kettle, toaster, microwave and is fully equiped with crockery and cutlery. There is a shower room with toilet. The cottage has a large selection of books, audio books and CDs. There is a woodburner for chilly evenings. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are supplied.

Outside: There is a lawned garden with hardstanding for the outdoor furniture and barbeque. Parking space next to the cottage.
