This was a magical week away. The villa was exactly as described and has clearly been well maintained for guests' benefit
It is a fabulous base to explore all the different local beaches as well as the mountains that provide such a grand backdrop. We followed the advice of a previous reviewer and went to Chez Paul, a restaurant up in the mountains serving real Corsican fare. Well recommended.
I don't know about the rest, but this part of Corsica is unspoilt, and the villa made for a great week.
Thank you Diana.
This was our seventh trip to Tinarella which says it all. A well positioned villa within hearing distance of waves on the beach below and easy reach of daily shopping, restaurants and clean, quiet beaches. We have already booked for next year.
Excellent pre.travel tips & personal advice from the owner. Clear travel directions & easy arrival plan.
The villa was very clean and welcoming, generous provision of all essential goods.
The living space was wonderful, accurate description of beautiful sea views.
A great base to explore fabulous local beaches.
Enjoyed a train trip into the mountains & a road trip to Bonifacio.
Enjoyed the recommendations for butcher & patisserie.
Ate twice at Le Rivoli, excellent food & customer service, all within walking distance of the villa!
Thank you for a lovely holiday, a week was not enough....feel sure we will be back!
Villa Tinarella lived up to and exceeded our expectations. The location, facilities and service were excellent. Everything as expected and more. We enjoyed trips into Ajaccio and Bonifacio particularly Ajaccio using the ferry from Porticcio.
Excellent beaches all round we enjoyed snorkeling the water so warm and clear.. Local facilities are excellent - butchers and bakers as outlined by Diana are first class. We found the standard of food very good and particularly enjoyed La Rivoli -walking distance form the villa and Da Mamma in Ajaccio the charcuterie in particular. All in all can't wait to go back
We spent 21 nights at this villa as a retirement treat
The villa was beautiful and all the information from Diana was accurate and easy to follow.
We had ten days cycling in the local area climbing 15000 metres and we where not disappointed, the mountain villages where stunning.
Everything about the holiday was positive but be warned that the temperatures are extremely hot in June and July so if you are cycling be prepared.
Thank you Diana and we hope to return in the future
I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We arrived late to the property due to flight delays but it was no problem to the lovely Victoria who was on hand to greet us. Everything was as described and very user friendly for our group of 4 people. But the view and proximity to shops and restaurants is the main plus to this property....the view is amazing and my husband and I walked to nearby Molini each morning to dip our toes at the beach and have a cafe au lait. A revisit is definitely on the cards.
We enjoyed a relaxing week in this lovely villa. Breakfast on the terrace with fabulous views over the bay was the perfect start to the day.
The villa itself more than lived up to expectations, starting of course with the view! It is beautifully maintained by the owners who are a pleasure to deal with. They really have thought of everything and we did not want to leave at the end of our week.
We particularly recommend a trip up the Prunelli Gorge - reward yourselves with lunch at Chez Paul.
The walk around the headland at Capu di Muru was a highlight.
Excellent facilities with a wonderful sea view over the bay. Only a short walk to the sea and very convenient for shops and local restaurants. Just twenty minutes drive from the airport. Some lovely walks very nearby. Easy access by shuttle ferry to and from Ajaccio. Highly recommended!
This was a great place to stay. Lovely views and everything you need in the villa - and it all worked.
Loads of really nice beaches within easy reach and a lovely trip up into the mountains for a swim in a mountain stream!
We had a great holiday and felt more like guests than tenants. Everything was as described in the Owners Direct listing - although in practice the views and quality of the house have to be experienced to do them justice. Helpful owners and local agent. Lots to do in the area and a little further afield by car and train. Our first visit to Corsica and we certainly hope to be back. Thanks.
