La Julerie at Corseul in Brittany. 4 Holiday Cottages with Heated Indoor Pool
Our 4 gites at La Julerie have been designed and created to make comfortable holiday homes, ideal for family or group holidays as there are beds for up to 24 people plus any babies in cots. A real advantage with 4 gites is the fact that each part of a family group can retire to their own gite if they wish. They have been built in the traditional Breton style, but furnished to meet all modern requirements. Guests will be coming to enjoy the sea, others will wish to be out on the golf courses or by walking, horse riding, cycling, visiting museums or any of the many Breton events that take place throughout the year. We also have a heated indoor pool to be enjoyed by the whole family.
These gites are very well equipped for those travelling with young children and infants as we have practically everything you might need on holiday which means you don’t need bring items from home; in addition to cots, high chairs and stair barriers we also have a baby changing table, baby bath, bottle sterilising unit, swing chair and baby chair and a listening device etc. If necessary, all kitchen cupboards and upstairs windows have locks which are reversible and only need be engaged when infants are in the property.
La Vieille Ferme - Sleeps 6
La Vieille Ferme offers an entrance-hall, corner kitchen, dining area and salon with armchairs and a sofa, granite fireplace with a wood burning fire, and a washroom/toilet on the ground floor. La Vieille Ferme will be one of the gites you must book as there is plenty of room for up to 24 people to sit together if tables are brought in from the other gites.
Les Étables aux Hirondelles - Sleeps 4 On the ground floor this gite has a delightful corner kitchen, dining area and salon plus a shower room/toilet. Upstairs offers 1 large double bedroom, and 1 twin bedded plus a bathroom. 10% discount offered when only 2 guests occupy this gite (Apart from July & August).
Les Écuries - Sleeps 5 / 6 Les Ecuries has been designed to welcome both able and disabled guests with its wide doors, low level worktops in the kitchen, and a large downstairs shower room. In addition to the salon area, there is room to have a bed downstairs should it be needed for a disabled person. Upstairs offers 1 double bedroom, and 1 twin-bedded room and a bathroom. On its wide landing there is a sofa bed which is ideal for an adult or 2 children. Also with a heated indoor swimming pool.
Le Grenier - Sleeps 8 Le Grenier is our luxury gite. Downstairs is creatively decorated with terracotta tiled floors, granite fireplace, wood burning stove, a fitted kitchen with dining area, a salon area and a washroom. On the first-floor there are 2 spacious en-suite double bedrooms, one with bath, the other with shower. The upper-floor with its low level beams is furnished with 2 single beds and a full size settee bed. It has its own en-suite bathroom with French-style bath, bidet etc.. A child’s (or parent’s) dream!
With c/h & woodburner this will make ideal holiday accommodation all year.
Whilst only Saturday to Saturday bookings are accepted during High season, at all other times of the year arrival and departure days are flexible and short term term bookings are welcome.

TV, TV Satellite, DVD Player, Table Tennis. the games room is spacious and has been used for wedding and anniversary receptions for up to 40 people. We can recommend "outiside caterers" who have provided meals for parties at La Julerie in recent years.
As the swimming pool is only accessible via the Games Room with lockable sliding doors it is deemed "child safe"
We provide guests with swimmiing towels in addtion to the bathroom towels.
There is a selection of bikes for guests to freely use on a daily basis.
Local Attractions
DINAN (15 Minute Drive), is an old mediaeval town of art and history, built alongside the Rance river, it is a wonderful place to visit with its many restaurants, bars, local shops without forgetting the old castle, the churches and the port.
CORSEUL (4 Minute Drive), is our little home village with a bakery and a little grocery store.
Founded in 10 BC, Corseul was the Capital of Gallo-Roman province of Coriolis, ruins of this ancient town can be visited in the centre of the village, there is a museum showcasing the archaeological items recovered and explaining the history of this historical place.
SAINT-MALO (40 Minute Drive), is a famous and historically fortified port, most of your guests from the UK get the Ferry from Portsmouth and arrive in Saint Malo the next morning, as it is only a 40 minute drive from la Julerie.
High granite remparts circle the historical town centre, which was once a stronghold for corsairs (pirates approved by the king). The Cathedral of Saint-Malo, in the centre of the old town, features Romanesque and Gothic styles, and has stained glass windows depicting the history of the city. The nearby Demeure de Corsaire is an 18th-century corsair house that now serves as a museum.
DINARD (30-minute drive), is known for its war ruins and houses built into the cliffside!
A renowned seaside resort neighbouring Saint Malo, particularly popular among the British and Americans, for its “Belle Epoque villas” and the British Film Festival held there every year since the 1990s.
LE MONT SAINT-MICHEL (50-minute drive), is one of France’s most famous monuments, a masterpiece of architecture, construction of which began in the 8th century!
Visit the Abbey at nightfall, enjoy the calm of the evening itinerary in summer, be transported by concerts and surprised by new cultural proposals. Standing at the top of Mont St Michel offers a unique viewpoint to see some of the biggest tides in the world sweeping in across the flat sands.
SAINT-JACUS-DE-LA-MER (20 Minute Drive), is a little peninsula with a grand total of 11 beaches to explore, the tidal difference is very important, at low tide the sea will pull out of the bay, allowing you to walk to the Island of “Les Ebihens", there is a sailing school on the main beach.
SAINT-BRIAC (25 minute drive), is a very popular coastal town, with 6 beautiful beaches, wonderful villas, a grand golf course and fabulous scenery. There is often some good surf on La plage des Longchamps with a surfing school for those who want to experience riding the waves.
There are many marked walks in the area, but for coastal scenery none surpass a walk along the coastal path from Fort La Latte to Cap Frehel further up the coast!

All linen is included in the price too. A 20% discount with Brittany Ferries is available. For large parties La Vieille Ferme can accomodate up to 24 people seated for dining.
