An idyllic & peaceful hide-away for Adults cradled between the two valleys, La Vallée du Lot and La Vallée de La Dordogne. Marvel at this ancient region of the Lot, nestled within the heart of the stunning “Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy”. Relax at Château de Lacomté Country Club Camping whilst you discover, ancient legends, the amazing local history, imposing Chateaux & picturesque medieval villages. Not forgetting the sensational starlit nights, wild life, rare butterflies, and beauty of all the flora and fauna, including the many rare orchids in May & June that will captivate you.
Our rental accommodations:
There is a superb Gîte, 5 Pine Chalets, and 4 Mobile Homes available to rent. Savour culinary delights in our calm and peaceful restaurant “Les Etoiles” or simply enjoy some chill out moments in our cosy lounge bar with our well-stocked bar, a choice of Whiskies, Wines, cold Lager, Cocktails and our snack menu, all of which are coupled with fun moments whilst meeting new people. Drinks bought from the bar are allowed within the pool area.
The camping is ideally situated, 10 minutes from exit 56 of the A20 and only 12kms from Rocamadour. Set in 32 acres of beautiful parkland, enjoying picturesque views of surrounding countryside & offers 84 fully serviced pitches, and 2 RV pitches with black water connection. Do not wish to tow!
Recreation & Sport facilities:
Around our large outdoor swimming pool (23m x 13m) are loungers and parasols where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views around you. No water shutes, no diving boards, no kids, no stress, just the sounds of the countryside. There is also a Spa for a relaxing massage, a manicure, facial and sauna.
We usually organize a barbecue party once a week and during these evenings we offer a very nice barbecue meal, grilled whilst you’re enjoying live music. The live music is very popular and the style of music varies according to our guests from classic French accordian music, to jazz, ragtime, blues or rock. We also offer our guests lots of other activities, such as Quiz nights or Cocktail evenings.
Chateau de Lacomte has an all-weather Tennis Court and a number of sports fields for Basketball and Volleyball. You can play Jeu de Boules on numerous spaces around the location. For those in search of exercise there are great walking routes nearby as well as excellent Cycling, Mountain Biking, Canoeing and Kayaking. There are also a number of caves in the vicinity for potholing enthousiasts. The nearest Golf Course is 26 km away.
Comfortable and spacious mobile homes (2 pers.) on a adult only camping between the Lot and Dordogne
The mobile homes are idyllically located within 32 acres of beautiful parkland where wild orchids grow in abundance during May and early June. Enjoy the spectacular views across open, rugged landscape, where birds of prey can be clearly seen circling overhead.
The Mobile Homes have a Lounge/Kitchen and Dining Area. The Kitchen is equipped with a Fridge, Hob, Microwave and Kettle. There is one Bedroom with a Double Bed, and one bedroom with two single bed. A Shower Room and a Separate WC.
Each Mobile has its own terrace area, equipped with garden furniture and barbecue. On confirmation of booking a list of items supplied in the Mobile Home will be sent you. Bedlinen, Towels and Pillows are not supplied, but can be rented and paid for at the time of making your booking.
Enjoy the feeling of space and freedom, whilst you relax into the peace, tranquility and natural habitat that surrounds you. Quite often deers can be seen within the park during the day. The hooting of several different species of owls are often heard on the park from just before sunset until late evening, if you are lucky you will see them swoop into the woodland to feed their young.
The Mobile Homes are self catering, but should you do not wish to cook, you can enjoy a meal in our restaurant, Les Etoiles, or enjoy a drink whilst relaxing in the lounge bar or on the terrace.

The Lot & Vallée de la Dordogne an amazingly beautiful
unspoilt area, renowned for it’s fabulous scenery,
places of interest, gastronomy and vineyards.
Rocamadour:
This truly breathtaking medieval town is the second most favourite site in France. The pictoresque little town clings 150 metres high to the sheer rockface of the vallée Alzou. Lacomté is just a 20 minute drive away and we highly recommend a visit preferably in the morning. There are many more places around Rocamadour to visit including the Préhistorique Grotte des Merveilles, la Forêt des Singes and le Rocher des Aigles, Maison des Abeilles. Rocamadour famous for it’s goast cheese.
Sarlat:
This beautiful unspoilt town is just a 40 minute drive away. It has magnificent buildings and incredible architecture. On Saturdays the town comes alive and the many restaurants and cafe’s overflow whilst locals and visitors alike enjoy the lively street market.
Saint Cirq-Lapopie:
Frances favourite village perched high above the river Lot, it’s castle ruines now a view point, once a strong hold of the French during 100 years war.
Gourdon:
A delightful old market town on the borders of the Quercy & Périgord, built of honey coloured stone, rises in tiers up a rocky hillside.
Cahors:
A town set in a superb setting, its towers and belfries, ancient houses and bridges almost encircled by the river Lot. The famous Valentré bridge is magnificent and was built as a fort to defend the town.
