“A superb location in central Nice”

We had a really great fortnight on our 11th visit to Nice. This was our first stay at Rue Maccarani, and we found the apartment to be in an excellent quiet location, yet only a few minutes stroll to Place Massena and Promenade Des Anglais. The apartment is very nicely equipped and furnished and the spacious terrace is a terrific asset, just what we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. Lynne & David Smith (UK July 2012)

The apartment at 12 Rue Maccarani was perfectly placed for exploring Nice. Close to the Promenade des Anglais and its bustling bars and restaurants, the apartment provided us with a little oasis of quiet and coolness. The apartment's terrace at the back of the block was a good place to chill at the end of a busy day's sight-seeing. There's no view, other than the other apartments, but there was something comforting about just sitting, sipping our wine and listening to the gentle evening sounds that drifted through the open shutters of the other residents. Located on the first floor, the flat is easily reached by the stairs or lift. The fresh baguette and bottle of Côtes de Provence rosé waiting for us on arrival was a nice touch. The flat was clean and uncluttered, just the sort of accommodation we like to stay in, but so often can't find. We really appreciated the way it had been fitted out - lots of clever storage and hooks (so often missing in self-catering accommodation). The clever use of mirrors increasing the sense of space. It was all very tasteful and unfussy. 'Extras' like the ironing board (and iron), washing machine and hair dryer were a bonus. The apartment is only a short walk from most of the local transport hubs - trains and buses, which in Nice represent remarkable value for money - no car needed. The close proximity of shops and supermarkets also meant that we never missed having a car of our own. And if there are any problems, it's comforting to know that the English owner's daughter, who lives in Nice, is only a phone call away. We certainly hope to return to rue Maccarani soon.

“A charming flat in a vibrant Nice!”

The flat was charming and right next to the seaside. It was a pleasure to take morning walks along 'Promenade des Anglais' during our stay and then enjoy our breakfast in the nearby cafes and restaurants. Athough the weather let us down, there was plenty of places to visit. We managed to visit Monaco and Antibes as well as Nice itself...just brilliant! The flat was well equiped and close to all amenities. Kate was very friendly and helpful. Very pleased with the whole experience and will certainely be back soon!
