Lovely self catering cottage with pool to let in Vendee
Tim and Penny are delighted to welcome you Fig Trees Farm which is located in the small village of Saint Valérien between the market towns of Fontenay le Comte and Luçon in the Vendée. Set in the heart of the village, yet within a stones throw of the open countryside, it is ideal for walking, cycling, exploring the area or simply relaxig by the pool. The house enjoys a southerly aspect allowing the sunlight to flood into the property all year round.
Fig Trees Farm is ideally located for many of the attractions to be found in the area. Safe sandy beaches are 45 minutes drive away as is the old port of La Rochelle. The wine regions of Bordeaux, Cognac and the Loire valley and Futuroscope at Poitiers are all within a day trip. Closer to home there is the Marais Poitevin, Venise Verte and the Mervent Forest and much, much more.
Jasmine Cottage - Sleeps 6 in 3 large bedrooms
It was originally built during the early 1900's and has been renovated to a high standard to create a light and spacious three bedroomed property with 2 bathrooms, yet retains many of the original features with some stone walls and beams. The private patio and barbeque over look the enclosed garden and heated swimming pool. The house is centrally heated throughout making it available for year round holidays.
On entering the property you will find the lounge and dining area which faces south on to the patio and garden. There are comfy sofa and chairs, satellite television (UK freeview channels ), DVD playe are provided along with a selection of books and games for all ages.
Beyond the lounge is the open plan kitchen and downstairs bathroom with shower. Like the rest of the property the kitchen has been modernised and is equipped to a high standard to include a dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave etc.
On the first floor are the three large, comfortable bedrooms, one with a superking size, one king size (can be twin bedded) and a twin room. The upstairs bathroom has a bath and shower.

The private patio is set in front of Jasmine Cottage and catches the sun throughout the day from breakfast to dinner, an ideal spot for those "Sundowners" as the sun starts to dip towards the far horizon. It comes with furniture, sun parasol, BBQ and views over the garden and heated pool.
The swimming pool, measuring 8.0m x 5.0m and 1.60m at the deepest point, enjoys all day sun allowing guests to relax at any time of day. Sun beds, cushions and parasols are provided. It is surrounded by a security fence and access is via a childproof gate in accordance with the regulations.
Cycling, walking, close to the famous sandy beaches of the Vendee, Puy de Fou, Futurascope, Venise Vert, La Rochelle, Ile de Re and much much more for all ages

Towels can be provided at €9.50 per person per week, to include bath and hand towels
We also offer prepared homemade meals for you to simply reheat at your convenience upon your arrival or after a day out. Please ask for further details.
Shopping service
If you would like us to stock up your fridge/cupboards for your arrival then all you have to do is let us know in advance a list of your requirements and we'll do the shopping for you.

Fancy a night out without the children, we can arrange babysitters for you. Cots, stairs gates and high chairs available on request
