Built in 1840, La Maison Rose is a renovated stone farmhouse set in large private gardens in the small hamlet of Marsac with views south to the spectacular Pyrénées mountains. The house features five bedrooms upstairs, one with an ensuite bathroom, and can accommodate from six to 10 guests.

An extensive garden has with plenty of space for children to play. The 5x10 metre salt water swimming pool is surrounded by a terraced area. Inside, the tiled floors keep the temperature cool in summer and the huge open fire provides a warm focal point in the winter.

Downstairs are three reception rooms. One features the open fire place, comfortable sofas and a television with satellite channels, including English-language channels, and a DVD player. Also in this room is a large wooden table with seating for 10. There is a smaller living room with a couch and armchairs, ideal for a quiet read. Finally there is a very large wood-beamed table tennis room. The room boasts scenic views to the East over the extensive enclosed private gardens.

The small, well-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and coffee maker. There is a toilet downstairs, and a shower and utility room complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Four of the five bedrooms upstairs have views of the Pyrénées to the south. The fifth bedroom looks out over the garden to the east.

An acre (half a hectare) of mature garden surrounds the house to the north, east and south with lots of shade trees, a barbecue area, large space for ball games, a large trampoline, and other outdoor games. Corn fields lie to the east of the garden in this small farming hamlet. Immediately south are other village houses and beyond them, the mountains.
