Character barn with Heated Pool for rental in Vendee - La Grange Reviews

We have loved our stay in the beautiful house, so clean and comfortable. The weather was much better than expected for this time of year which enabled us to spend time on beaches with picnics and rock pooling. Loved the Maris and exploring the canals by boat, saw some kingfishers and of course sampled the local cuisine. Many thanks to Tim and Penny who were very helpful and knowledgable hosts. La Grange 2 weeks of pure bliss, what a gem of a find and it really has exceeded out expectations. Such a warm welcome so late at night. Penny you are a perfectionist who has thought of everything, its all the little things that make such a big difference, cool boxes, ice, packs, fans, soap, loo paper, noodles and floats in the pool the list goes on. So clean and beautifully presented. The children have loved the pool and at times its been a struggle to get them away from it. We've visted La Rochelle, the outstanding Puy de Fou and many more. We've had a fantastic holiday here at La Grange. We've loved the space, pool, the garden, the local scenery and exploring the fantastic Vendee region. Quite possibly the best location - far enough away from the crowds but within easy reach of the nicest beaches and the areas of interest. There has been plenty to occupy the youngest member and oldest member of the family (from 4 - 81!).
We have loved rock pooling at Plage du Rocher, punting at Venis Vert, paddling at Jard-sur-Mer, pottering around the lovely streets of St Martin (Il de Re)and of course consumed plenty of moules. We've loved the pool, dippig in 4 or 5 times a day as its been so hot. We are definitley coming back.

Our third visit to the lovely Fig Trees Farm, it feels like home from home. We just love this beautiful and peaceful area. Once again our thanks to Penny & Tim food their great hospitality and lovely food and look forward to coming back again.

Our third visit to Figtrees Farm and once again we have had a fab time - 2 weeks have flown past! The kids have enjoyed the pool every day, the weather has been mostly hot and Tim and Pennys food has been delicious.

What a wonderful 4 weeks holiday at La Grange! A wonderful start to our 'Retirement Adventures". We have throughly enjoyed exploring the Vendee and can't thank you enough for your warm hospitality and we have been so comfortable here, its like home from home.

After missing 2 years its been like coming home. We don't need to tell you how much we love visiting and first time with all our kids and the grandkids. Thank you so much for such a wonderful holiday again at Figtrees. This time we stayed in La Grange which was perfect for the 6 of us and we have all loved the pool, the quiet, the beautiful starlit skies and the starling murmerations were very striking. Thank you for the fabulous meals you cooked for our wedding anniversary.
We have enjoyed La Rochelle, Les Sables and other beaches together with the forest, Fontenay and the lovely villages such as Vouvant.
Thank you again for an excellent holiday and experience, we loved it.
