This year, 2014, will be our second stay at Jasmin and our fifth stay at the property. Requiring a trip from the US you can be sure it more than fills our wants and needs. To us the peace and quiet is so important, the lovely, walkable country side is a great asset and the availability of many places of interest to visit, by auto, makes for a vacation that is as relaxing or as busy as one could want.
Coming "home" to the pool is a great way to relax after a day of visiting some of the many places of interest within 100 miles.
We heartily recommend Jasmin for a lovely vacation.

“Fabulous holiday in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed August 1, 2014
We had a great holiday. The house has character and is fitted to a high standard. Plenty of room for a family of four. The grounds and gardens are generously proportioned and without a doubt the swimming pool is a large part of the attraction of this holiday property. It is a fairly large pool, with shallow and deep end and a diving board for kids. It is safely fenced off with childproof locks. The surroundings are beautiful with fruit orchards and the Canal du Midi close by. It is fairly rural and you will need a car, but it is a good base to explore this particular part of France. The owners will also rent out bikes and there is a network of cyclepaths within easy reach. Bordeaux is within an hours drive and the coast with beautiful sandy beaches approximately 90 min by car. The owners are very welcoming and are at hand if there are any problems.
Highly recommended.

"Great place, lovely surroundings and good facilities."
Our hosts were really helpful and friendly with a lot of knowledge of the area giving us ideas of where to visit and things to do. The house was comfortable, well equipped with nice big rooms. The pool was the added bonus - just the right size for the two houses. The area was very quiet and the main town La Reole a 10 minute drive to the local facilities, station and supermarket etc. We would love to go back to Jasmin - the only small comment we would have is that it would have been nice to walk to a local boulangerie on a morning (only 10 mins in the car though).

"Relaxing"
We visited Jasmin 2 adults and 2 boys (4 and 8), and had a very nice vacation. It was perfect for us and our sons, to have so much space and a pool with the good weather, we were in the pool every day, and our sons enjoyed it, and improved their swimming skills. Tim is a very nice host, and was helpful with assisting us in several occasions in booking agreements. He has great knowledge about the place. We did not meet Lin at all, except the first day. The only downside is that it is very long to a town with a baker and some shops. Baire had no bakery, not shops, no anything. So we had to travel to La Reole to go to a town. It had been perfect to have a bakery and some some in walking distance. However, we would recommend this for every family with young children. It is a perfect place for relaxing. And we went home with 85 bottles of Bordeaux wine - a great side effect.

"Beautiful setting for a relaxing and fun-filled family holiday."
We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the beautiful setting along with the activities on site and in the local area. There was something for everyone: swimming, badminton, cycling along the canal path, canoeing, local restaurants, St Emilion, night market at Monsegur, beautiful scenery. Tim was extremely knowledgeable about the region and nothing was too much trouble. We would love to return.

"very rural unspoiled France"
Enjoyable holiday. This is very rural France. The farmhouse reflects rural France has charm however don't expect it to be 5star. This is typical French house basic, stone walls, dark and a little musty downstairs. The area is lovely, lots of little villages. We hired bikes from Tim and had a great time cycling along the canal. The area is flat and so you can cycle for miles at ease. Bordeaux is about 50mins away and excellent for shopping. There is a convenient supermarket about 5mins drive away. Tim is usually around and is extremely helpful. The pool is brilliant and the kids spend a lot of time in it during the week and they enjoyed playing badminton on the lawn. Lots of pluses for Jasmin

"Beautiful rural France at its best!"
Lovely house in a wonderful unspoilt area. Surrounded by sun-baked medieval towns and bounded by the Garonne River and Canal, this area is green and fertile despite the warmth of the sun. The house is in delightful grounds and it was a pleasure to spend time sat outside, using the pool and playing badminton on the lawn. Tim was welcoming and friendly and did his best to sort out any difficulties with a minimum of fuss. We had a splendid holiday in Jasmine and would love to come back sometime if we can.

"A beautiful little haven from which to explore the Gironde"
Tim and Lin's lovely Jasmine cottage is rightly named as the heady scent from the jasmine trees fill the air. The cottage is authentically rustic but very comfortable, situated close, but not too close, to the other properties on the site. The gardens and pool are very well kept and were a great asset. The owners were discreet but always on hand to give advice on days out and very friendly and approachable. We had a wonderfully relaxing week at Jasmine cottage and would highly recommend it to other families. One request: a review and upgrade of kitchen utensils would be great - not quite enough cutlery and no bread knife!
