For more than 800 years the Chateau de Beduer has stood guard over the Célé valley in the department of the Lot in South-west France. This exclusive private chateau, with its gardens and its park, offers an ideal location for family holidays, weddings and special events.
In addition to the chateau itself the estate has three fully-equipped holiday houses sleeping 6 to 10, two within the chateau grounds. The houses can be rented separately for self-catering holidays or together with the chateau. Each house has its own private pool, garden and terrace and all enjoy spectacular views across the Célé valley.
Each house has a salon with satellite TV and DVD player, and a kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. Linen is provided free of charge, bath and pool towels are available at an extra cost.
Rentals start from €600 per week, low season.
The houses are ideal for relaxation or for exploring the region with its historic sites, hill-top villages and cultural activities.
The village of Béduer has a bakery, a bar/restaurant and a hair salon while the shops and markets of the picturesque medieval town of Figeac just 10 minutes away can supply food, local delicacies, and all other needs. There are numerous local cafés and restaurants from simple bistros to fine dining venues.
LA FONTAINE - SLEEPS 6 PEOPLE
La Fontaine is a beautifully converted 18th century stone barn a short walk down the hill from the Château, with magnificent views over the Célé valley. The whole ground floor is an open-plan living area with a fireplace, television and DVD player, sitting and dining areas and fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, a separate hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a fridge-freezer.
Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and one twin room, all with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom enjoys breathtaking views over the Célé valley.
Outside, there is a terrace with a table and seating for six. Steps lead down from the terrace to the large garden with its 9m x 5m private pool. Beside the house is a natural spring (from which La Fontaine takes its name) that has supplied pilgrims en route to Saint Jacques de Compostelle since the Middle Ages. The spring supplies an 18th century stone wash-house.
There is parking space for two cars just in front of the house.
