Le Manoir de Longeveau is a former Cognac Estate on the Charente / Dordogne border, nestled in a valley designated by the Michelin guide as ‘A Place of Special Beauty’!

Longeveau offers a selection of thoughtfully renovated stone cottages with an excellent range of facilities, including a multi-national Golf Club, Tennis courts, Bar/ Clubhouse & Restaurant, Heated Swimming Pools and Children's play areas.

We are only a bike ride to one of the prettiest villages in France, with nearby river beaches, restaurants, historic sites, vineyards and plenty more. Le Manoir de Longeveau offers you a unique opportunity to relax, refresh and enjoy our little corner of paradise!

Bar / Clubhouse

Stop for a morning coffee, perhaps after an early morning swim in our heated pool, or a post golf cool down with an ice cold beer and some big screen sport. Alternatively, catch up with your friends or find some respite with your book/Kindle/ipad! Our clubhouse bar at Longeveau offers wonderful views across the tennis courts, golf course and open countryside. It is an eclectic mix of rustic French pub and contemporary bar, a special find in the rural Charente!

We offer a great selection of wines and drinks to suit all tastes and ages. Visitors can enjoy their food and drink from the comfort of a sofa or sit on the bar’s veranda and terraced areas with an enviable vantage point over the grounds. Most major sporting events can be viewed on the bar's TV. We open the bar every day throughout the summer and offer wine tasting nights, welcome dinners, BBQs and more. Please get in touch for further details.

Restaurant

Our restaurant opens seasonally offering a selection of local dishes, served in the Manoir or on our west facing terrace. Other options available throughout the season include pizzas.   In high and peak season our weekly BBQ nights guests unwind and children serve themselves at their own children's bar, get tucked into the fancy dress box and challenge the oldies to a game of football on the tennis courts!

Lunch box style kiddie hampers are available daily and there is a selection of organic baby foods for younger guests, as well as the option to have mini versions of menu items or select from the children's menu. We supply high chairs and ‘colouring in’ to keep everyone happy.

We offer a daily delivery of fresh bread and viennoiseries (breakfast pastries) for collection from the our clubhouse every morning from 08h30.

Swimming Pools

We have several swimming pools available for the sole use of residents staying at Longeveau. Our main pool (12m) is heated and accompanied by a smaller children’s splash pool. There are plenty of sun loungers available for relaxing and the surrounding gardens are well tended.

Properties at L'Hameau development share another heated pool, and properties at Old Puygironde share a pool - with amazing views! Pressoir de Pierre and L'Olivier share a heated pool. Plus there are also private heated pools with L'Emilienne, Merisier, Catalpa and Lavoir. All pools at Longeveau are securely fenced and gated, with safety in mind.

Children’s play areas

We have two children’s play areas at Longeveau, plus a indoor room with toys and arts & crafts materials so you can get creative!  The main play area is fully fenced with an amazing new climbing frame, swings, slides etc. Adjacent the bar and terrace we have a toddlers play area, to keep our littlest guests happy! This also happens to be great for preventing escapees - while you are enjoying a relaxing drink or bite to eat! A secret play house can also be found in the back garden of the Manoir!

Golf d’Aubeterre

Nestled in a beautiful valley on the Charente / Dordogne border and set within the grounds of the Longeveau estate, our 9 hole, par 64 (2x32) golf course offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities. The greens and tees are fully irrigated and there are plenty of bunkers and other obstacles that come into play. We pride ourselves on the quality of our course, with a fleet of machinery to the keep the course in top condition.

Daily, weekly and annual rates are available with discounted green fees for residents staying at Longeveau. Equipment hire, supplies and tuition are available from the bar-clubhouse.

Tennis at Longeveau

Le Manoir de Longeveau provides the perfect setting for a game of tennis. We have three all-weather tennis courts, two of them floodlit, attractively landscaped into the sloping ground below the clubhouse. The courts are open throughout the year and the tennis can be as serious or relaxed as you wish.

These are aimed at all ages and generally take place between the months of June and September.
