Beautiful, Secluded Holiday Villa with Private Pool in Sablet, Vaucluse, France Reviews

Being the sort of person, who in my youger days was more used to the nightlife of Spain, Greece etc, I was slightly wary before arriving for my first visit to France. I need not have been, the villa is just amazing, its spacious, clean, well maintained and has every thing you could posssibly want, along with breathtaking views and a fabulous pool and barbeque area. The photos on here, in my mind, do not do it justice. We stayed for two weeks, the first my partner and myself, along with my sister and her two children of 10 and 7, who are known for there tv requirements and need of hi tech things!. again i was wary, however the boys loved the relaxation, the pool, the family bbqs and just chilling. The second week was just the two of us, and before we went, the idea was that we would eat out every night etc...... this did not happen as the villa is so lovely and relaxing it just seemed a shame to have to drive out. The local village is small, and walkable, however Vaison La Romain, does have some fabulous restaurants and is only 10km away and is lovely. The Tuesday market is great and well worth a visit (tip, try and get there about half eight as it gets very busy and hot at around midday). The wine tasting is great as you would expect, another tip would be to drive to the village of Gordes, this too has a market on a wednesday which is brill. Overall, i would highly recommend the villa, I came back chilled and relaxed and the two weeks have flown by too quickly. Finally the owner, Rosie, has been great and really helpful...... thank you, I will recommend you and your home again and again and again .....

We have just returned from the most amazing week at this property in Sablet. The villa is extremely well equipped, with every requirement taken care of. The setting is so spectacular with views over the medieval village and so peaceful and tranquil. We spent many evenings watching the sun go down over the village from the terrace, and we found a number of excellent restaurants either within walking distance or a short drive away.

The local vineyards – including the famous Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape– provided wonderful wines to go with our meals, and there are so many interesting towns and cities to visit within a short drive of the villa.

The week just passed too quickly – definitely a place we will be returning to next year!

The house and its location are nigh perfect. It is set (and secluded) amongst vineyards and near a little village on a hilltop a very walkable 1 km away. The premises are luxurious, with a vine-clad eating area outside. The lovely pool has catering facilities beside it. The gardens are substantial and beautifully considered and maintained. You will certainly feel very special staying here! There are lots of interesting villages and towns nearby, and Avignon is only a short drive.

We spent a week or so in Sablet and loved it. The villa itself was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely small garden and pool. A feature of the house was its large kitchen and its view across the vineyards to the small town of Sablet - a pleasing walk in the morning to get a paper and some croissants! And of course the villa's location meant journies to Avignon, Orange, even to the coast were easily undertaken. A strong recommendation from us!

Do you want to see why the Impressionist made so many paintings of southern France then just come to this fabulous place. We have been going there for many years and everytime we go there is something new and at the same time reassuringly familiar. Rustic with all the modern amenities that you need, spacious home with a wonderful views. The house commands what we call a million dollar view. Sitting on the verandah, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner gives you the view of the medieval town, no words or pictures can convey the sight, you have to be there! Our children love this place as the pool and surroundings are completely private and on each visit they compete for the title of Boules Champion. But at the same time for us grown ups we can be so close to many famous sights and views. Many family members and friends of different ages have enjoyed this piece of paradise. Try it for yourselves - you will not be disappointed!

If you are looking for a very special hideaway, then this is it. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortably furnished and extremely well maintained by the owners. The atmosphere is one that aids relaxation and pure enjoyment. The swimming pool area, gardens and grounds with strategically placed apple trees to hide under when the sun is at its hottest, are a delight to look at and a pleasure to experience. Eating under cover looking out over the small town of Sablet, particularly in the evening when the lights are coming on in the town and the sun is going down, is truly magical. The owners are very responsive and have high standards themselves and these are visible in the way the house and grounds have been looked after. The pool area has all the facilities needed to enjoy lunch or an evening bbq in comfort and peace. The house is in a secluded position but Sablet is close enough for a walk to town to get the breakfast croissants or an evening stroll to one of the restaurants in town. If getting out and about is your way of relaxing, then there are plenty of places to visit in the area and many walks in the countryside surrounding the house. I have stayed here many times and have recommended it to many of my friends. Be careful though, when you leave, you leave a little bit of yourself behind ready for your next visit!
