This beautiful, detached rental house is in Cornillon-Confoux, a perched village in the heart of Provence. It is situated on the village's medieval ramparts and has a magnificent panoramic view from the balcony. It has been recently completely renovated and decorated with a mix of comfortable furniture, antiques, and modern conveniences; but it retains it's centuries' old charm.
On the ground floor are the living room, dining area and kitchen. The stairs lead up to the master bedroom, front sitting room/bedroom with balcony, and the bathroom. There is an attached locked garage, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and the downstairs room has a wood burning fireplace.
The upstairs balcony has a magnificent view over the countryside of Provence toward the Mediterranean Sea. The charming village is ideally situated to explore the history and culture of Provence, or to simply relax and have a romantic vacation. The village is between Aix and Arles 10km south of Salon de Provence.
The house is in the small perched village of Cornillon-Confoux, in the heart of Provence. It is a lovely, small, and calm village, but It is well situated to explore the many sights of historical interest in Provence. There is a Roman bridge from the 1st century B.C. just several hundred yards down the nearby river. The village is 10 kilometres south of Salon-de-Provence, which is the nearest large town. It is almost midway between Aix-en-Provence and Arles, each about a 30 minute drive away. The Marseille Provence airport is a 25 minute drive, and the nearest TGV station is 35 minutes away. The large cities of Marseilles, Nimes, and Avignon are within an easy drive, as are many smaller cities and towns of interest. You can visit museums, churches, and Roman vestiges or shop in designer stores. The Mediterranean coast and its lovely beaches are 30 minutes away. There are wonderful outdoor markets in all the towns, and there are many delicious restaurants within easy reach.

There is a quaint farmer's market on Tuesday mornings. There is a doctor in the village. The town of Grans, 5 minutes away, has bread shops, restaurants, produce store, grocery, butcher and pharmacy. Salon-de-Provence, 10 minutes away, is a good size town with a 'hypermarket', public swimming pool, and everything else needed. It has a large outdoor market on Wednesday mornings, and there are the two remaining soap factories still making the real Savon de Marseille from olive oil.
