Beautiful Holiday Gites Between Bergerac and Perigueux, Stunning Views, Pool, Luxury Hot Tub - The Bread Oven Reviews

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bread Oven. Stunningly renovated and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The barn was a fantastic communal area and the pool well used by us. The house was spotless and equipped with everything you could need. It is quite remote so a car is essential. A great place to stay and highly recommended.

We have just returned from a relaxing week staying in The Bread Oven, part of Gites Boutiques. The property was immaculately clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. This theme extended to the well kept gardens , swimming pool, and the Barn Lounge which was equipped with a grand piano and a huge variety of toys, book and games to suit adults and children alike. The location was very convenient, being close to the village of Villamblard with it's shops and excellent restaurant. Additionally there were various pretty walks on the doorstep. Further afield, we visited local chateaux, went canoeing on the Dordogne and spent time in Perigueux. Mike and Mandy were very welcoming and hospitable and offered a lot of local knowledge. I would thoroughly recommend a holiday at Gites Boutique!

We received a warm welcome from Mike and Mandy for our stay in Stable End, including a welcome package of quality staples plus some traditional French delicacies. We are a family of 3 and Stable End was perfect for our stay - two beautiful bedrooms and two luxury bathrooms - all spotlessly clean. We found the beds extremely comfortable and the lounge stayed cool and comfortable throughout the hot sunny days. The kitchen was well equipped and provided all that we needed on the occasions that we ate in. We enjoyed the two patios, particularly having breakfast (croissant from the local boulangerie) on the covered patio with views over the wooded valley towards Villamblard. We made full use of the heated pool and our son was happy with the gym equipment and we used the bicycles available on site to explore the area. Mike and Mandy gave us useful information on interesting places to visit as well as restaurant recommendations. We found plenty to see locally - chateaux, vineyards, quaint traditional towns and markets. It was a wonderful holiday and we would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

The cottage is gorgeous - spacious, well-decorated with everything you might need. That said, we spent most of our time in the grounds - playing volleyball and table tennis, using the bikes provided and enjoying the good-sized pool. We only left the grounds to go to the excellent local markets!

The property was clean and well-maintained. We travelled with our one year daughter and we were provided with everything we might need, including a cot, lots of toys, a walker, towels and pool gear.

Mike and Mandy were extremely warm and helpful from start to finish, providing advice and help whenever we needed it.

All in all, a thoroughly relaxing break in a gorgeous venue....
