Le Marronnier - Beautiful French Farmhouse in Mache, Vendee

Our charming property is located in the sunny Western Vendee, set in over 20,000 m/sq of established gardens, and paddocks. We have 2 comfortable, spacious gites, a heated swimming pool with a large sun terrace and beautiful gardens. The high aspect has sweeping views over the farmer's fields and woodlands, yet we are only 25 minutes from the glorious, wide, sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast.

This unique location provides a convenient base from which to explore the local area and a peaceful place in which to relax, upon your return.

La Petite Guyonniere offers quality, self catering holidays in France that will not disappoint. So, if you want a typically French holiday experience, in a traditonal gite, under the Vendee sun, then look no further. We are only 24km from wide sandy beaches, picturesque villages and only an hour from Puy du Fou Theme Park.

Le Marronnier - This is a large farmhouse with the rooms spread over two floors, and together with a conservatory, provides plenty of space for up to 12 guests. Each room has been tastefully decorated and furnished, with an emphasis on comfort and convenience. Above all, we aim to provide holiday accommodation that feels just like home.
Entry to the property is from a courtyard, with sufficient offroad parking for up to 8 cars. Leading out from the rear, via the bright and airy conservatory are our established gardens. These are extensive and spread over 2.5 acres, with exotic trees, shrubs, and flower borders. There is also lots of open space. The gardens are completely fenced, for added child safety, and there are no busy roads nearby.
All of the bedroom and shower/WC room windows are fitted with fly screens, so windows can be left open during the warmer nights. 

Ground Floor
The main room on the ground floor is the lounge. This large comfortable room is furnished with families in mind, and has all that on would expect to find in a lounge, including a widescreen TV with Freesat, DVD player and a wide range of DVDs.
The fully equipped kitchen is accessed from the lounge and has everything necessary for family cooking. Also, on the grond floor are tow large bedrooms each with a double bed and tow single beds. There is a shower room / WC and finally a bright and airy conservatory/dining room which leads out to the gardens.

Outside Dining Area
The Outside dining area for Le Marronnier is set beside our ornamental pond. It includes a stone BBQ, tables and chairs for 12 people, lighting and power socket.
This is a lovely spot for socializing during the day and well into the evening.

Changeover days in June, July, and August are on Saturday. At other times they are flexible.

Ground Floor of the farmhouse
The ground floor of Le Marronnier can be booked during the High Season (May-Jun & Sep). It's ideal for french farmhouse holidays with slightly smaller groups of up to 8 people. All the information given above is relevant for this option, less for the two first floor bedrooms (Bedrooms 3 & 4), which, are not available. THe ground floor of this large farmhouse still provides more than enough space for 8 people to live very comfortably. The second shower/WC, situated on the first floor, will be available under this option.
