Beautiful Bed and Breakfast In The French Countryside - L`Echappee Belle, Loiret, France

L’Échappée Belle is the perfect place to escape to in the French Countryside. This beautifully maintained 17th Century house is full of charm and character, and most importantly, is surrounded by panoramic views of the wonderful Loire Countryside. 

Located along the canal and the forest of Orleans, guests have plenty of activities to do nearby or just relax if they prefer. 

L’Échappée Belle has three bright and spacious guest rooms. Each one offers a beautifull view of the canal or the grounds, with WI-FI, storage, welcome hamper and a TV. All three rooms have been designed tastefully, you choose whichever you prefer!

Dining at l’Échappée Belle means enjoying regional specialities and freshly prepared meals with local produce. The three course dinner menu is €20 per person.

For breakfast guests can enjoy local products (such as pear juice, cheese...) And home made specialities (jams, cakes, brioche, french toast...).The drinks menu also features local specialities and wines.

Other features include: A games Room (Flipper, foosball, darts...) Loan Bicycles, Free Hot Drinks, WI-FI everywhere in the house.

A gourmet excursion can be organised with local producers (wine, cider, beer, saffron, honey, cheese). Picnic Baskets are available upon request. 

There is much to see and do in the area including cycling, sailing and canoeing, vineyards to visit, wildlife watching, fishing and visiting the beach. There is also horse riding, golf, outdoor karting, treetop adventure park, hot air balloons and skydiving available. There are a few historic landmarks to visit such as Sully sur Loire Castle, a medieval castle by the Loire, one of the most important in the Loire Valley and just 15 minutes from Grignon. Orleans' Cathedral, Château de La Bussière, Oratory of Germigny des Prés, Faiencerie of Gien and the Manoir de la Javelière Park are all wonderful places to visit.

For longer stays, the renowned castle of Chambord and Cheverny are an hour and a half away from Grignon and can be visited during a one day tour. Beauval zoo is two hours from Grignon and makes for a lovely day excursion.
