Beautiful Barn Conversion with Large Private Pool in La Bastide-L'Éveque, Midi Pyrenees

Set in the rolling hills of the Aveyron gorges is our 17century converted barn, completely restored to provide accommodation for 6/7 people. It has its own garden and sole use of the large heated pool. The bright and airy gite provides an open plan living/dining area with three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Outdoors there is a lovely dining terrace with views over the surrounding hills. The property is ideal for families or for those looking for peace and quiet in this beautiful area of south west France. The house is close to amentities and the area is close to many of the tourist sites and has many walking and cycling routes.

This charming holiday Barn has been restored by local craftsmen, the ancient exterior, with its beautiful stone walls and traditional fish scale slate roof, is complemented by a contemporary, cool and airy interior, with tiled floors and full height vaulted ceiling. Large windows and french doors flood the living area with light and lead out to a fabulous deck with spectacular views of the countryside.

The ground floor consists of a large open plan kitchen and lounge area, bathroom, and double bedroom. Upstairs has two twin bedrooms, one of which has an additional pull out bed if required and another bathroom. The outside terrace and gardens are fully wheelchair and pram accessible. It has a fully-fenced garden with orchard and secluded solar heated swimming pool. The pool has lockable gates and can be alarmed.

About the Area:
Pertus is a tiny hamlet situated 1.5km from La Bastide L’Eveque, at the end of a rural lane amidst the rolling hills and woodlands of the Aveyron.

 Approximately 10km from Villefranche de Rouergue, a traditional medieval town with great shopping including weekly food markets and large supermarkets. The river life is vibrant, and offersw such acvitties as canoeing, kayaking and an array of cafes and restaurants.

From Pertus there are wonderful trails and quiet roads for walking, cycling and mountain biking.
Other nearby famous bastide/medieval towns include Najac, Cordes, St Antonin, St Cirque Lapopie, Belcastel and Sauveterre de Rouergue. The medieval cities of Rodez, Albi and Cahors are all within easy driving distance, as are the magnificent Tarn gorges, beautiful Lot river and amazing Millau viaduct.

There is plenty here to entertain you, including mountain bikes, children's swings, badminton, pool inflatables, games and more...

The barn is also ideal for winter breaks as it boasts central and under-floor heating, plus insulated/double glazed.
