Spacious 3 bedroom Gite with garden and pool near Canal du Midi in Languedoc

One of two Gites that are part of the Winemaker's House. Both Gites have their own swimming pool and provide an ideal base for exploring the magnificent Languedoc-Roussillon area, now known as the Occitanie. 
Le Fitou is a wing of an old Winemaker's House with 3 bedrooms and a large pool set in a walled garden.

Le Fitou offers guests well furnished accommodation with 3 bedrooms that will comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. For privacy, the gite has its own front entrance which opens up into a foyer that leads to a spacious beamed living room. With its two large windows that over look the courtyard, our guest can also enjoy the TV with free to view UK channels, a CD player and Wi-Fi internet access throughout. 
Leading off of the living room are both the well equipped kitchen that includes an oven, hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, etc and a seperate laundry room which is equipped with a washing machine and toilet. A glass door from the kitchen will lead you out to the private patio and pool area.

The stairs that lead to the upper floor are in the separate dining room. On the upper floor, you will find the master bedroom with double bed, large window that overlooks the walled garden and an en-suite bathroom. There are two more twin bedrooms both of which have large windows overlooking the courtyard, and these two bedrooms share a large bathroom.

Outside the gite you will be able to enjoy the private patio area which is partly covered for shelter, if desired, from the hot sun. There are a selection of tables, chairs and sunbeds with a BBQ for you to use during your stay. In addition to private patio area you also have use of the entire garden, the pool and its patio surround. The swimming pool is set into a beautiful walled & landscaped provincial garden. (Please note the pool & garden are a shared space with the friendly owners and their two well behaved and friendly dogs who live next door). 

The local village has a wonderful general store where you will be able to purchase all of your basic needs such as fresh bread and croissants. There is also a good restaurant - La Garenne -   which is open all year round (two nights per week in low season). The historic village of Le Somail is nearby, situated on the Canal du Midi where our guests can enjoy several more restaurants. A bank and Pharmacy can be found 3km In Ginestas and 5 minutes away you find a large Intermarche super market with a 24hr petrol station.

The ancient city of Narbonne is approximately a 15km drive away from the gite and is highly recommended. Several great beaches at Gruissan, Leucate, Narbonne Plage and La Franqui can be found between 30 and 40 minutes away on along the Mediterranean coast
