Dragon Vert offers spacious accomodation including 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of each on the ground floor, so is suitable for those with restricted mobility. The owners live next door in Dragon Bleu, but the properties are completely independent and the owners keep as low a profile as you wish.
The property sits above the lively village of Salviac and there are stunning views across the valley fron the patio and the pool. Salviac has many shops including a small supermarket, 2 bakers, a butcher's and a post office. There is also an ATM and a choice of eateries for lunch, dinner or a casual drink or coffee. The choice is yours....'home' or 'away'!
The area abounds with things to do. There are no less than 3 lakes nearby offering fishing, boating or swimming opportunities. The River Dordogne is a 20 minute drive away where youwill find there is a choice of half or full day canoeing expeditions as well as tour in 'gabares' - larger passenger boats. There are unique gardens to explore and the area boasts several ancient chateaux to visit. The vineyards of Cahors red wine are 30 minutes away by car and many domains offer wine tasting experiences. Renowned tourist destinations such as Rocamadour, Sarlat and Domme are all within a short drive and pre-history sites such as Les Ezyzies, Lascaux and Padirac are equally accessible.
ACCOMMODATION:
Dragon Vert's spacious accomodation consists of one downstairs and two upstairs bedrooms as well as two bathrooms, one of them downstairs thus making it suitable for those for whom stairs might be a problem. Each bathroom has a WC and there are 2 further separate WCs.....yes 4 in all! There is a well equipped kitchen and a well furnished, beamed lounge/diner leading to a shaded patio with a gas BBQ. A particularly attractive feature is the 'minstrel's gallery' overlooking the lounge area.
WiFi is available throughout. Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided. The owners are on site but have a separate entrance and keep as low a profile as you wish.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob with 4 burners, a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. A shared tumble dryer is available if required.
Lounge/Diner
This is a light airy room with comfortable seating, UK TV and a DVD player. There is a dining table with 6 chairs and on the patio nearby a further table with 6 chairs and gas BBQ for outside dining.
Downstairs Bedroom and Bathroom
This attractively decorated room has a single bed which can be rapidly converted to a comfortable standard double bed, equipped with reading lights. There is a generous amount of storage space for clothes, a mirror and a comfortable chair. Next to the bedroom is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, handbasin and WC.
Upstairs Bedrooms
Both bedrooms have comfortable double beds, one of them king-sized. Plenty of storage space for clothes is provided as well as reading lights and mirrors. Both bedrooms have a pool view and the windows have wind-down blinds as well as shutters.
All bedrooms are provided with fans for hot nights and there are cool ceramic tiles throughout the entire property.
Garden and Pool
The garden is large with stupendous views from most areas. There is always a choice of sunny or shady places to sit. The 5.7m pool has a security cover for when not in use, and is surrounded by a patio with plenty of sunloungers and a further table and chairs as well as a large umbrella. There is a roman end to the pool for easy access. Guests have priority use of the pool, but not sole use.
