Simply breathtaking
We spent a week at the Moulin de Larcy in June and were not disappointed! We experienced good weather and a few rainy days too.
The accommodation was just perfect; the french apartment is very spacious with gorgeous bathroom including a toilet in it and with another toilet separately. Well equipped kitchen and an outside area as well where we could enjoy the breakfast prepared by Anita, the host. The swimming pool area is lovely and quite private just like the other parts of the moulin as it tacked away behind the road. The pool had been cleaned every morning by the other host, Simon as soon as the weather became good enough to use it.
We took big walks in the forest, behind the buildings by the river. Apart from the mosquitoes, it was just perfect! Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to escape from a busy city life and want to spend some time thinking, reading, walking, enjoying nature with no disruptions of TV, wifi or many other guests as we learnt they don't accommodate more than 6 guests at a same time which is brilliant! We will definitely return!

A Gem in the Dordogne
My wife and I stayed at Le Moulin de Larcy while we were in the Dordogne for a wedding. Without exception, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.
“Our apartment” (Melisse) was perfect....spacious (living room, full kitchen, outside terrace, master bedroom with ensuite bath, powder room) as well as thoughtfully designed, well appointed, tastefully decorated and fully equipped. It quickly became our haven in between a full long weekend of wedding activities.
But that’s not all. We enjoyed a wonderful welcoming dinner at Le Moulin, deliciously prepared with vegetables from the garden and local specialties. Every morning, we were welcomed with a basket outside our door, filled with fresh garden juices, fruits, baguettes and croissants straight from the market, fresh eggs from the Moulin’s hens....as well as amazing preserves prepared on the property.
The perfection at Le Moulin de Larcy is a testament to its hosts (and owners), Anita and Simon Black, a gracious and most interesting couple originally from South Africa. They responded to any number of requests we had and treated us like visiting friends...maybe better. Anita’s focus on wellness in life combined with Simon’s flair for design combine to make Le Moulin far more than a lovely and charming place to stay.....it’s a top drawer experience in its own right.
We travel extensively, staying in a wide variety of accommodations, from top luxury hotels to charming inns in remote locations. Anita and Simon have created a relaxing hideaway....one that is decidedly FIVE STARS in our book.

Another magical stay at Le Moulin de Larcy.
The fast flowing river through the Moulin has taken on a new dimension this year. Due to a temporary water flow issue the river has become a quiet millpond.
The Otters, trout, herons and a family of moorhens don’t seem to mind and not do we.
A little piece of sublime tranquility.
Thank you Anita and Simon.

Peace and relaxation
What a special place this is! We recently stayed for 4 nights at the Moulin De Larcy in one of the very spacious and well decorated apartments. The grounds are lovely and include several walks next to the river. This is an extremely peaceful and relaxing place to be. We had the whole place to ourselves which we couldn’t believe. We were absolutely gobsmacked by some of the wildlife we saw right next to the apartment including Kingsfishers, Coypus and red Squirrels to name but a few. To be able to sit on the terrace and watch Kingsfishers zooming about and fishing right next to us was a real treat. Anita & Simon are
