Traditional 3 bedroom Alpine Farmhouse in the village of La Baume, near St Jean d`Aulps, in the Haute Savoie, Alps

This spacious farmhouse is nestled in the mountains at an altitude high enough for magnificent views, yet low enough to be pleaseantly warm in summer. It has been modernised and extended to provide comfortable accommodation for large groups or families of up to nine people. The house is located in a small hamlet just above the village of La Baume. The property overlooks the valley of the river Dranse which runs from the Haute Savoie mountains into Lac Leman.

The farmhouse is set in a beautiful, tranquil and rural location with stunning scenery and mountain walks from the front door. It is within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of Lac Leman which is great for swimming, wind-surfing and canoeing. White water rafting is available on the river Dranse. For guests with more of an interest in winter sporting activities, such as skiing, there is access to over 600 km of pistes within 15 minutes drive (The hugely popular Portes du Soleil ski region including the ski resorts of Morzine and Les Gets). The world famous Mont Blanc can be reached in just over an hour. In addition, smaller ski resorts are located just 10 mins away at Col de Corbier and St. Jean D'Aulps.

The accommodation of the farmhouse comprises three Bedrooms, two bathrooms of which one is a family bathroom and one shower room plus separate wc. There is a spacious well equipped kitchen with a separate utility area, and a dining table seating 8 people.

The ground Floor: 1 twin, 1 double and 1 triple bedroom, large modern kitchen, shower room, wc, garden. First Floor: Huge living room with double bed, balcony, large bathroom.

Guests arrive through the main entrance into the well-equipped kitchen with doors to bedrooms either side. The right hand bedroom has been divided in two, so access to the double room is through the twin room. Door to utility room/staircase, with access to downstairs wc and separate shower room. Stairs to combined living room/bedroom, with access to upstairs bathroom/wc and balcony.

Outside, there is a flat grassy area in front of house, (approx 25m x 10m). Cellar for storing wine, Patio table and chairs + parasol for summer use. Portable BBQ kept in cellar.

Special Rental Conditions

Prices shown are averages across the whole month - hence individual weeks may be lower or higher depending on the usual demand for that particular week.

Discounts may be offered for bookings of 2 or more weeks and possibly for small parties.

There are stairs to the cellars outside the house which can be a hazard to small children.

There are additional costs for electricity and heating oil dependent on usage - these are typically £20 per week in summer, £150 per week in winter. Guests should take their own linen and towels.

Minimum stay is 3 nights in high season.
