This peaceful village house is located in the sleepy village of Lesparrou nestled underneath the Pyrennes and just 5 minutes drive from the nearest town of Lavelanet which has a market on Friday’s. It is just 20 minutes drive from the medieval town of Mirepoix which has a wonderful market on Mondays and some lovely restaurants. This house has a nice back garden with patio area and is ideal for dining outside in the evenings.
ACCOMMODATION
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a large double bed.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and cot.
Bedroom 3 the light and airy mezzanine area with one single bed has a lovely view of the back garden and the wonderful Pyrenees.
Bathrooms: Bathroom upstairs with bath/shower and toilet.
Toilet and wash basin downstairs.
Kitchen: Cooker, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, plenty of cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and cutlery.
Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board and iron.
Living Rooms: The living room retains its original stone wall with wood-burner, settee, chairs and coffee table with satellite TV and video.
Other: The dining room will seat 6 people comfortably.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Linen and towels are supplied which is most important especially now with limitations on how much luggage you can take on a plane. There is a charge of 15 euros for this service. The property is cleaned weekly and towels and linen changed.
Notes on accommodation
This house has oil fired central heating and a wood-burner. Their is a side and rear garden.

There is a lovely back garden with patio area and outdoor garden furniture. Ideal for dining outside where you can enjoy the long summer evenings.
Coast/Beach
We have Lac Montbel approx 15 mins by car which has a lovely little beach area and then there is Puivert which is about 20 min by car and again has a lake and a lovely area to relax. The nearest coast is Perpignan about 75 mins drive. Narbonne beach 170km. Beziers beach 155km. A river runs by the village which is suitable for fishing.
Skiing
We are approx 40-45 mins from Monts d'Olmes ski resort which is ideal for family skiing and 50 mins drive from Az-les-Thermes, a spa town at the foot of the Pyrenees. You can take the cable car up the mountain where skiing facilities are very good with restaurants and ski hire.
Travel
Carcassone airport is 45 mins by car. (Ryanair). Perpignan airport is also 45 mins by car. (Ryanair and Flybe). Toulouse airport 1 hr 30 mins by car (Flybe, BA, Air France, Aer Lingus).
Distances
Chateau of Montsegeur is nearby and you can enjoy the wonderful views on the short 20 min drive. The wonderful medieval town of Mirepoix is just 30 mins drive and has some very good restaurants. The medieval city of Carcossone is well worth a visit and has some very good shops. Andorra and Spain is just 90 mins drive. As le Thermes is just 50 mins drive for Spa treatments and skiing.

We are just 5 mins drive from the town of Lavelanet which has some good shops and a market on Fridays. Mirepoix has a wonderful market on Mondays. For wine lovers the vineyards of Minervois and Corbierea are a short drive away. There are many fortified bastide towns in this area. This area is a paradise for walking and cycling and many of the walking trails are marked out. Water sports, fishing and swimming are available at nearby Lac Montbel. The Canal du Midi offers canal barge trips and you can also cruise down to Beziers, Agde and Sete for sailing enthusiasts

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible and arrival and departure times can be arranged to suit interested clients.
Booking notes
For Holidays of 7 nights or more a booking deposit of 20% is payable at time of booking. Balance 6 weeks before your holiday begins. If you are making a late booking please check with owner. Changeover days are flexible and please contact us and we will do what we can to accommodate you.
