Self catering Loire Holiday Rental Gite ~ Gite in Loire, France
Situated in the Loire Valley our delightful holiday gîte has recently been tastefully restored and modernised for a comfortable holiday.
In a peaceful, rural hamlet, we are close to all the tourist attractions; visit chateaux, Saumur, Tours and Angers; try wine tasting; go swimming, horse riding, cycling, walking; enjoy sitting on your patio or relaxing under your shady gazebo overlooking fields. On the ground floor, suitable for partially disabled, it has a clean, cheery feel and comprises a double bedroom, lounge, kitchen/dining area and shower room and is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, CD,DVD, washing facilities and freezer. Babies and young children are welcome. Linen provided.
The whole region is very flat, popular for lovely walks and safe quiet cycling. The Loire Valley is renowned for its abundance of beautiful and interesting Chateaux and the famous cities of Saumur, Angers, Tours and Le Mans are within an hours drive. FuturoScope at Poitiers and the Coast is achievable in a day but possibly a long drive. Alternatively, you can cool off in one of the many lakes in the area, play golf, visit a market, or just relax and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the world go by.
The area produces some of the finest wines in France and you can visit the caves (wine producers) where you can taste before buying. Whatever your culinary preferences you can eat at some excellent restaurants in the locality, from the lunchtime cheapies (highly recommended), to top class nouvelle cuisine. There are also Chinese and Indian restaurants in the Saumur.
