This wonderfully presented, spacious French holiday house is set in the beautiful Deux Sevres Countryside in almost 2 acres. This 200 year old farmhouse has been completely renovated and, whilst it still retains some of its original features, the house has been updated to cater for today's needs. The original granite fireplace still remains but a modern multi fuel stove has been installed to guarantee you are nice and warm throughout the winter months. Features like the exposed oak beams really give this house a traditional yet modern feel.


Inside you will find 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are double rooms, 1 Kingsize room and the last bedroom having two single beds. 2 additional people can be accommodated on the sofa bed. With 2 en-suite bathrooms, there is also a separate family bathroom all of which have WCs. In the living area you will find a television with DVD player and home theatre system, satellite TV, sofas and a log fire. The fully equipped kitchen should have everything you need during your stay and has a large table with seating for 6. The Old bread oven has been renovated into a games room, an ideal Poker room complete with 6 seats.


There is a patio area with table and chairs with a large family BBQ, perfect for enjoy a meal at the end of the day whilst watching the sun go down with a glass of wine or a beer. Take a country walk or bike ride with the family, or a game of Boules or Tennis, while soaking up the glorious sunshine. There are 5 adult bikes available for you to use, please note one of the bikes does have a childs seat.


The house is located on the border between Vendee and Deux Sevres and there is plenty of things to do and places to visit for the whole family. Don’t worry if you are looking for a holiday of peace and tranquillity, the house is found at the end of a very quiet lane and is extremely private and secluded overlooking miles of open countryside. It is just a gentle stroll from the house before you will reach a bar, shop, bakers, football pitches and tennis courts. A Large supermarket can be found in Moncoutant for anything else you may need which is just a short drive away. With a modern indoor swimming complex at Cerizay and a large open pool in Secondigny plus a man-made beach a little further away in Verruyes there is plenty of opportunity for swimming.
