Cumminges is a secluded mountain hamlet, occupied by ourselves and our guests. The cottage is surrounded by pastures, woods and mountains. It breathes tranquility and peace.
The hamlet forms an East/West ribbon along the mountainside, and, facing south East, is well placed to catch the early morning sun.
Our mountain spring provides us all with beautiful water.
The carbon footprint of the hamlet is very low; the wood for fuel and building comes from our renewable forest, electricity from the newly installed solar panels, and we have a large vegetable garden with recycling and composting.
The different seasons bring forth a wide variety of rare flowers and fauna, and deer, pheasants and wild sanglier (no brown bears yet!) are regular users of our tracks.
