No 33 is a traditional southern terraced village house built in 1867 , with a large first floor living space, kitchen, two bedrooms, a nursery with bed and cot, large shower room and separate WC - a large terrace leads out from the kitchen. The second floor is a large sleeping area with it's own shower room and WC it sleeps 2 - 4 + There is also a day bed in the sitting room.
There is a delightful separate self-contained studio sleeping 2 at ground level. This has been recently decorated to the highest standards. It has it's own shower/Wc and a full working kitchen.
If used together the property can sleep 11/12 adults plus cot and child's bed.
The courtyard garden has a small swimming pool, sunny terrace and a shaded eating area. It is light and airy, with a stylish French ambiance.
The house is set up with beach and games equipment, books, DVDs/CDs etc.
St Pargoire is a working village set in vineyards and olive groves, with a weekly market, annual fete, and a wide range of shops, a bar, restaurant, chemist, PO, hairdressers and boulodrome etc.
The area is rich in tourist and sporting attractions, sea-sports, golf, tennis, and cycling. There are many local restaurants, markets and summer festivals with concerts, opera, art displays, and boules tournaments.
Pezenas a charming market town is 10 mins by car, and Meze a small market town / fishing village on the inland Etang facing Sete is 25 mins away, Cap d'Agde and Sete Town are 30/40 mins away.

The kitchen was constructed about 6 years ago using white painted concrete and tiled traditionally - it is well equipped, though it only has a small oven. It has a family sized fridge/freezer, and larder.
It leads out to a large terrace which will seat 8 - 10 people. It l also leads onto a large sitting room which has a modern sofa and two easy chairs, and TV/DVD/CD player it is colour washed in pale yellow with terracotta tiles for flooring. There are two double bedrooms one with traditional Languedoc tiling. The furtniture is a mixture of Habitat, Ikea and country furniture from Pezenas and Norfolk (UK).
The studio can be rented with the main living area or separately - it has a sitting area (sofa-bed) a modern shower room and kitchen with french doors leading to the courtyard and pool.
The external facade of the house is due to be painted next year, unlike the internal spaces it is faded and in need of repair. Don't be put off!
Local Attractions
Languedoc is the sunniest region in France, enjoying long hot summers and mellow autumn weeks right up to the end of October. In June and July the light is dazzling and long warm evenings make eating out a pleasure.
St Pargoire is situated in the fertile valley of the River Herault, amidst vineyards and the expanding olive groves.
The region is Catalan and the old Lange d'Oc though no longer a live spoken language can be seen in place names As one moves closer to Spain ( a 2-3 hour) drive away the bright Catalan colours of the houses and roof tiles strike a contrast to the gentler pastel buildings in the east of the region as it merges with Provence.
Special Rental Conditions
Two families could be easily accommodated, or one large family group with the studio as separate accomodation for grandparents or friends for the larger parties. There are two good sized dining tables that can be put together on the terrace or in the kitchen and dining seating for 14+.
The studio is availible separately if the main house is not booked.
We expect to be paid 50% of the rent to confirm the booking and the balance four weeks before the holiday. We advise all guests to be covered by travel insurance.
The rent includes electricity - bedding needs to be arranged separately.
If two parties rent the whole house which includes the studio for two weeks or more we will give a discount.
