So beautiful and relaxing.

What a lovely house this is, and what a wonderful way to visit Sarlat. Annie, the owner, was just wonderful. She picked us up and dropped us back to the train station. She was very thoughtful and had some croissants waiting for us along with some bread, wine and biscuits as a welcoming present.

The house itself has everything you need. It is very well stocked and it was great to be able to cook home meals when we had been away so long forever going to restaurants. The house itself is only a 7 minute walk from Sarlat itself. The bed was also, so comfortable. It really helped that it was so quiet of a night. We saw rabbits and squirrels and a wonderful variety of birds. It was very worth the 6 days that we spent here, seeing and tasting French provincial life for ourselves. A wonderful experience in a great house.

Excellent in all respects..

We very much enjoyed our stay in this property. It is set in a very peaceful and attractive area above the busy medieval town of Sarlat which is a short walk away.

The description of the house on the Home Away site was spot on and we are not surprised that the reviews of other visitors were so good. Everything we needed was provided. The wi-fi was acceptably quick and reliable. It was very hot throughout our stay but the house remained cool and comfortable inside.

The owners were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Our main activity on this holiday was cycling in the surrounding countryside which is incredibly beautiful. One of the most striking parts of France in our opinion. The scenery stays in the mind long after the holiday is over.

We were sad to leave at the end of our two week stay and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.

Wonderful, tranquil stay in a brilliant location

We stayed for 4 nights with our 2year old daughter. Location just superb, short stroll downhill to Sarlat, good climb back home after dinner.

Was so relaxing on the terrace overlooking the property and valley.

Annie was most helpful and welcoming on our arrival.

We used this as a base to explore the region.

We absolutely loved staying in Maison d'Elise!

The property is perfectly located on a very tranquil site just an 8 minute stroll to the boulangerie via walking path and 10 minutes to the center of Sarlat. The owners Annie and Michel were so welcoming and always wanting to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The house is well equipped with wifi and all the housekeeping amenities except full sized washer and dryer. Large grocery and full laundromat are just 3 minutes by car. We took advantage of seeing and doing all that Sarlat and le Peridord have to offer - cycling, canoeing, chateaux, gardens (even the pique-nique en blanc at Manoir d'Eyrignac), and a day in Bergerac and Bordeaux vineyards.

The terrace was fantastic, and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside most days. This property and the owners are an absolute delight! We only wish we had reserved Maison d'Elise for a second week!

Attractive, well equipped, clean, quiet

Attractive building about 10 minutes walk from Sarlat. Attentive welcome from owners giving all the details needed to rapidly feel at home. The accommodation was on the ground floor with a large kitchen, large living room and large bedroom with en suite. The linen, towls etc were of excellent quality.

En vacances, nous aimons profiter du calme sans trop nous éloigner des commerces, restaurants et autres centres d'intérêts . " La maison d'Elise" répond entièrement à ce critère . Une dizaine de minutes à pied suffisent pour rejoindre le centre de Sarlat et pourtant chez Elise on se croirait à la campagne.

La cuisine est bien équipée, la maison est spacieuse. Madame Bersars est très accueillante, elle laisse beaucoup de documentation à la disposition de ses locataires. Le Périgord est une très belle région, Sarlat une ville à visiter.

Tres belle maison, confortable et endroit pratique

Maison charmante, acceuillante et pratique.

Seule le premier etage est disponible a la location, avec une grande cuisine moderne et bien equipee (surtout en ce qui concerne le nombre varie de couverts!). Puis on rentre dans un salon grand, et confortable, avec une tele moderne ayant access a plusieurs chaines d'Orange. Il est aussi a remarquer que le wifi est disponible et assez puissant nous permettant de rester en contact avec l'exterieur. Il est possible de faire son linge en utilisant la machine a laver a l'arriere de la maison.

La terrasse fait face au sud ce qui veut dire que pendant les jours ensoleilles, il est possible de s'y relaxer et de prendre un bain de soleil. A noter egalement que la maison vient avec une pelouse tres grande ce qui offre une bonne surface de reecreation.

La maison se trouve a peu pres a 10mns a pied du centre de Sarlat-La-Caneda. Tous les jours, apres nos expeditions touristiques dans la region, nous terminions souvent la journee par une balade dans Sarlat, ce qui etablit une bonne routine plaisante, et un sentiment d'etre chez soi.

Finalement, Sarlat est un petite ville tres charmante, avec une tres belle place au centre, entouree de batiments medievaux, donnant un caractere vraiment unique de l'endroit. Au nombre d'Hotels particuliers, et de tours de nobles, on peut se rendre que cette petite ville a eu un passe riche et interessant.

C'est vraiment un atout majeur que la maison de trouve si proche de Sarlat sans etre soumis au deluge encombrant de touristes dans tous les sens.

Donc en tout et pour tout, nous avons passe un sejour tres agreeable, et nous conseillons vivement a tout le monde de louer cette propriete!

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger, aber ortsnaher Lage

Wir haben wunderbare Tage im Perigord und im Maison Elise verbracht.

Super waren

- das Grundstück: Terrasse, Garten und die angrenzende Grünfläche – und alles ganz ruhig (am Ende einer Anlieger-Sackgasse)

- das Haus, dessen Ausstattung wirklich keine Wünsche offen lässt. Besonders zu erwähnen sind das super-gemütliche Wohnzimmer, das gute Bett, viel Platz für unsere Sachen (und unsere Einkäufe), die für ein Ferienhaus ungewöhnlich große und mit allem ausgestattete Wohnküche

- die Wohnlichkeit: vieles, was man sonst erstmal kaufen muss, war schon da – Kerzen, Streichhölzer, Seife, Klopapier, Spüli, Salz, Pfeffer, Kaffee, frische Blumen, kaminfertiges Holz…

- die persönliche Einrichtung, z.B. Bilder, Bücher

- den netten Empfang: für den ersten Tag war für ein kleines Frühstück schon alles eingekauft

- die Lage: zu Fuß 10 Minuten in die Ortsmitte von Sarlat, das ein komplett mittelalterliches Stadtbild hat – und die feinsten Lokale und Delikatessenläden; und mit dem Auto schnell zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten des Perigord

- das sommerliche Wetter: noch im Oktober über 20 Grad

Ein schöneres Ambiente kann man sich für seinen Urlaub nicht wünschen!!!

Calme et à 10 min à pied de Sarlat

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 15 jours dans votre maison très accueillante où il fait bon vivre et où il y a le confort .

nous vous remercions de votre accueil très chaleureux et de vos conseils très utiles pour visiter la région.

Nous avons découvert le Périgord grâce à ses paysages,ses châteaux , sa préhistoire et sa gastronomie.

Nous nous empresserons de conseiller cet endroit isolé mais à 10 minutes à pied à peine de la ville médiévale de Sarlat et de son agitation .

Nous avons profité de la terrasse et de la treille de raisins blancs pour déjeuner .
