This charming 3 bedroom cottage rental, one of 3 cottages, can accommodate up to 6 guests and is ideally situated in a tranquil rural location on the edge of the pretty village of Faye-d'Anjou in the Coteau du Layon area of the Loire valley, France.

The Accommodation of the Loire holiday cottage comprises of an open-plan living room with sofa and chairs, dining area with dining table and Kitchen area with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hob, oven, kettle and coffee maker. Bedroom 1 - double, en-suite bath/shower/WC, French windows to small terrace area. Bedroom 2 - twin beds, en-suite bath/shower/WC. Bedroom 3 - twin beds, French windows to front and a separate WC.

The well maintained grounds of the cottage boast a large swimming pool, which is open to guests from June until September. There is also plenty of space for a game of boules or to find a quiet spot to relax or sunbathe and enjoy the beautiful views. The cottage has a BBQ and a selection of bikes to explore the local areas.

Guests of the cottage are perfectly situated just a 15 minute walk to the local village where there is a patisserie/boulangerie, mini-market and bar. The town of Thouarcé, has a supermarket and is just a 5 min drive away.

The local area is great for numerous outdoor activities such as walking, cycling. Nearby is Brissac-Quincé boasting a lovely chateau and beautiful grounds, restaurants, horse riding, bike hire, and golf. The historic town of Angers has a fortified castle, wonderful tapestries and an excellent selection of shops. Saumur, famous for its chateau, sparkling wine, and home to the Cadre Noir is just a 35 min drive. Water sports like swimming and canoeing are 20 minutes drive away at Rochefort-sur-Loire, whilst the sandy Atlantic beaches at La Baule and Sables d’Olonne are about 2 hours away.
