Luxury holiday rental gites with pool 10 minutes from Carcassonne Reviews

We found the gite absolutely immaculate with all the necessary facilities and more besides.
Agathe and Jean-Noel are the perfect hosts making you feel very welcome and giving tips on places to visit. The pool is wonderful and very welcoming especially after busy days sightseeing!
Carcassone which is only 10 minutes awaay by car is a beatiful city, both the old and the new. The canal du midi boat trips are enjoyable too.
A lovely local restaurant is on the lock at Herminis just outside Carcassone.
All in all a brilliant find!

Our stay at Domaine de Cure was our first self-catering holiday experience and one we enjoyed immensely. Since we were the first guests to arrive we had the opportunity to tour the three gites all of which were immaculate, beautifully decorated and very well-equipped. We stayed in La Caleche which was perfect for a couple. The property is fantastic with wonderful views over the neighbouring vineyards which we enjoyed from the pool after our daily excursions. The barbecue and garden were an added bonus. The location provides easy access to numerous historic sites including the amazing Carcassone fort. A supermarket, bakery, etc are just a short drive away.

Jean-Noel and Agatha are warm and welcoming hosts with whom we enjoyed conversation…and wine! Take advantage of Jean-Noel’s wine inventory. The selection is excellent. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t bring it all back to Canada with us.

We stayed at the gite for our honeymoon this summer. It was a really incredible place with stunning views and a great location.

The gite itself was very clean and tidy. The facilities on offer were excellent and definitely more than sufficient for your typical self-catering holiday. The communal pool was extremely clean and very private - most of the time we had it to ourselves! Jean Noel & Agatha were the most friendly people you could ever wish to meet - they're very happy to sit and chat or leave you on your own.

The location itself was very quiet and tranquil. However, you were only a 10 minute drive from Carcassonne (with it's historical citadel and the necessary supermarkets!) and a 20 minute drive from Carcassonne Airport.

Couldn't recommend it enough - we had a fantastic time and will be sure to visit again in the future.
