This 19th century farmhouse has been tastefully renovated in the Provencal style and is made up of 3 adjoining parts - the main house, studio, and extra bedroom. The property is rented to a single party.
The spacious main house has been simply furnished. It has a modern well equipped kitchen with a table and seating for 10, a cozy living room, and even a piano for musical evenings on the ground floor. On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms, one of which has an additional single sofa bed, and a spacious bathroom that includes a bath, shower, and toilet. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom.
The studio is the perfect spot for writers or painters. Consisting of a very large room and bathroom it offers its guests a light and pleasant living area with a double bed, a single bed, desk and a shower and toilet. The studio is just opposite the main house. A third room with a single bed, wardrobe and table is just outside the studio in the central part of the property.
Outside the house there are plenty of grassy areas for children and a wonderful pebbled courtyard for sunbathing. In the summer months and even during the cooler months, you can enjoy your meals outside on the terrace at the back of the house or in the courtyard. There is a good selection of garden furniture that includes table, chairs and loungers which can be moved around as you wish, so make yourself at home.
Set in a lovely poetic environment, the building is typical of nineteenth century farms in the region. The property benefits from an extremely private location, at the crossroads of two rarely travelled narrow country roads, 50-100 metres from the road and hidden behind cypress trees. Artists and writers will profit from the colours, the quiet, and the space this wonderful area of France has to offer. One can take any number of long walks in the low dry woods and along the pathways just behind and above the house.
The entire house boasts a modern, ecological heating system, and can thus be enjoyed both in wintere and off-season.
Situated in the Village of Saint Pantaleon, the farmhouse is close to a number of tourist spots. These include agricultural markets with fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, wines and cheeses from nearby farms and vineyards at very reasonable prices. There are beautiful old villages in the area, among them Isle sur la Sorgue (famous for antique shops and restaurants) Apt, Carpentras, Bonnieux, Menerbes, and Gordes.
