Perfect home from home in Montpellier

4.5 stars. We stayed here for almost three months. The apartment is great: comfortable, quiet, clean, well equipped, and with a fabulous terrace. It's also superbly located, just outside the historic centre, a few minutes from fabulous shopping, and no more than a 15-minute walk to most major attractions. There is a tram stop a couple of minutes away and good food shopping right in the neighbourhood, including a covered farmer's market, three super markets boulangeries, fromageries, etc. Annie and Gilles, the owners, are great, very friendly and solicitous. They picked us up from and delivered us back to the airport, provided bikes, showed us how everything in the apartment worked, took us on a brief tour of the neighbourhood and left the apartment stocked with refreshments and treats. They were always available by email or phone with help or advice. A great experience. Thanks Annie and Gilles.

A wonderful apartment in the center of Montpellier

I have stayed >10 apartments in various cities in France and this property represents one of the best. It is centrally (and conveniently) located nearby the historical old city, just 10 min walk from the Place de la Comédie.

Parking space is secured beside the apartment building by a padlock and chain, so you don't need to worry about it despite the city center. Although the first access by a car to the apartment would be somewhat difficult, an entrance to the Parking Laissac is a good meeting place with the owner.

There is an elevator in the building and an access to room is very easy even on the 5th floor (French 4th floor). The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated, far better than the photos in the website. A big terrace is a bonus! We cooked every night and had great dinners on a table in the terrace. You can relax on big sofas, having a nap under the full of sunshine. Two bedrooms are very comfortable and we have had great sleep every night.

Kitchen equipments are superb! You don't need to bring anything including seasonings. Annie & Ian are kind enough to provide us with a bottle of wine (my favorite Faugères from Languedoc) and water! Unfortunately we could not manipulate an oven in a proper manner, it works very well.

Thanks to the hospitality of Annie & Gilles and this fabulous apartment, we had a memorable stay in Montpellier!!! We definitely come back to this apartment in the next visit.

Wonderful apartment, location & hosts

Look no further for a homely apartment in Montpellier. A short walk from the centre of the old town and a shorter walk still to local bakery and shops, it's ideally located. Being a largely traffic free area, the apartment benefits from easy access (trams/railway/cycle hire are all a very short walk) whilst being quiet and free from car noise.

The apartment is spacious, well equipped, comfortable, clean and has a fabulous balcony for breakfasting/lounging in the sun (or under the canopy for shade).

Montpellier is an excellent location that wasn't previously on our radar - a beautiful old town with scenic squares for relaxing, old architecture and public gardens for sightseeing and a largely car-free centre that encourages pedestrians & cyclists. Its 'Velomagg' bike hire scheme, like Paris/London, allows easy and inexpensive access to bikes without having to find a hire shop. It's a flat, scenic hour-long ride along a riverbank cycle path to local beach towns.

Annie and Gilles are outstanding hosts. They're warm & welcoming, were helpful before and during our stay, greeted us at the railway station and were kind enough to drop us off at the airport at the end of our stay. We couldn't have asked for more. Merci beaucoup.

Excellent apartment in a great central location.

This apartment is a fantastic place to stay in Montpellier,with its great quiet location and with all amenities in perfect working order.

It is exactly as advertised, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.The large terrace is an added bonus for dining or relaxing after exploring the nearby old town with its numerous cafes,restaurants,shops and bars.

Public transport is around the corner :trams and buses and train station only 8mins walk.We visited Sete and beautiful beaches during our stay.

Annie ad Gilles (the owners)were extremely helpful from the moment they met us from the train and were so pleasant and easy to deal with at all times.

We would certainly love to stay in this superb apartment again and will recommend it to our family and friends if they are visiting Montpellier.

Wonderful Montpellier apt., location and owners.

We visited Montpellier from the United States for September and October. The owners helped make our visit absolutely wonderful from the moment we stepped off the train from Lyon. They met us at the station, walked with us the few blocks to the apartment, showed us everything in the apartment (and told us about places in the neighborhood where we could shop, etc.) and made sure we were comfortable. It was easy to work with them via email from the States as we were negotiating our contract. They always made sure that we felt welcome. The apartment itself is very comfortable, spacious (by French standards), and in a fabulous location. There is a provided parking spot, but we did not have a car and did not need one at all. We walked everywhere (right across from the historic district, so everything is very close) and also were steps away from a wonderful and inexpensive public transportation system. The apartment is also very well stocked with everything you could think of that you would require. All we needed were our clothes to live here for the two months. The large terrace balcony is a highlight and provides almost another room to the apartment. We ate out there a lot. It was very pleasant. The apartment has a lot of natural light and nice windows/sliding doors to let in fresh air. The area and building are quiet and secure. We always felt very safe inside the apartment and walking around, even late at night. The hosts were very accommodating and the apartment suited us perfectly. Thanks again to them for helping make our two months in Montpellier a wonderful and memorable experience!

Too good to leave

Annie and Gilles were amazing hosts, welcoming, straight forward, well organized. They picked us up at the main station and walked us to their awesome apartment. Especially the bath and the huge patio are amazing. We spent a wonderful time there. After 10 days it was very tough to leave. I hope I can go back soon and stay at this apartment which is downtown in the middle of everything, but very quiet. Thank you so much Annie and Gilles.

3 semaines très, très belle!

We had a wonderful stay in this well equipped apartment. The best of all up to now in Montpellier, this year we visited Montpellier the 10th time! The owners were very friendly, an accurate description of the location, and a wonderful terrace. Short way to the city, tram and busses only five steps, beach not far away - a perfect place to spend a perfect time in Montpellier. Perhaps - next year once more.

Merveilleux hôtes, accueil chaleureux, apt.extra

Annie et Gilles sont des hôtes exceptionnels,chaleureux, accueillants. L'entrée dans Montpellier, pas facile, un coup de téléphone et Gilles est venu à notre secours. Appartement de rêve pour visiter Montpellier et ses alentours. Merci, le " clim" et que dire de la belle et grande terrasse où nous avons pu nous reposer en dégustant le bon vin du Languedoc Roussillon. Nous le recommandons sans hésitation. Excellent et chaleureux accueil par les propriétaires, l'appartement est très bien situé, très confortable, fonctionnel et bien équipé. Emplacement idéal, proche Tramway et commerces. Séjour très agréable, adresse à conseiller.
