Holiday Farmhouse in Pretty Anjou Countryside, Clere sur Layon, Loire Valley - Le Cerisier
Le Cerisier is a beautifully located farmhouse set in almost 1 hectare of the pretty Anjou countryside. Sleeping up to six people in traditional French country style, all rooms are on ground level.
Nestling amongst the surrounding vineyards, Le Cerisier is about 1 km from the nearby village of Cléré sur Layon and 30 kms from Saumur. Doué la Fontaine - the largest local town with a weekly market is about 15 minutes drive.
There are three tastefully furnished bedrooms - two twin and one double. In typically French style, the living and dining area are one. The kitchen area is fully equipped including microwave, gas cooker, toaster and kettle. The large tufa stone fireplace, with wood burner is the focus of the sitting area with comfy sofa and chairs. There is a large wooden table with chairs in the dining area. Adjacent to the living area is a shower room with washing machine and a separate toilet.
Outside - table, chairs and parasol are provided, and built in BBQ for al fresco dining, with wonderful views across the countryside. We also have a well stocked bookcase, a CD and DVD player, a range of games for inside and outside use including table tennis.
We can also recommend trips to local vineyards - there are two excellent examples in the village.
As lovers of good food and wine we will be very pleased to cook for you. We can provide a meal and local wine on your arrival or at any time throughout your stay.
Bookings normally run Saturday to Saturday but we can also accommodate mid-week bookings. Further details available on request.
