This charming gite complex is situated in tranquil countryside, yet only 3 km from the nearest village of Carlux. The gites are set in over 3 acres of private grounds, complete with a large swimming pool.

These delightful gites make ideal accommodation for couples or individuals wishing to explore this wonderful region of France. Each gite can sleep up to 4 people and has traditional french windows affording wonderful views from the lounge out to a paved terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. The terrace is wonderful for relaxing with a glass of wine and enjoying the peace as you watch the magnificent sunsets.

Each of the gites is well equipped and boasts a double electric hob, a sink, fridge, microwave/combination cooker and is fully equipped with all crockery and utensils. A constant supply of hot water is always available. On the ground floor of the gites, there is a spacious shower-room with large shower cubicle, a hand basin and a separate w.c. There is a built-in wardrobe/cupboard. Linen and towels are all provided at no extra cost.

An open staircase from the lounge leads up to the first floor carpeted bedroom, here you have a choice of twin, double or super king size beds depending on gite/availability. All gites have a double sofa bed in the living room making these gites comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people.

The patio of the gites is the perfect place to relax, read a book, have a snooze, perhaps try your hand on the BBQ then enjoy your dinner alfresco while the sun sets gracefully behind the trees.

Even though the gites are in a tranquil rural location, the pretty village of Carlax is only a short drive or walk of just 3 km. In Carlux, you will find a bakers selling daily fresh bread, wonderful fresh locally sourced meat and poultry is available at the butchers and a cafe bar/restaurant and two other restaurants offer local fare. The nearest beach is just 6 km on the river Dordogne, whilst the nearest golf course is only 15km.

The larger town of Sarlat is only slightly further afield, just 13 km from the gite rentals it offers a large Saturday Market, and daily market in July/August, a choice of supermarkets and shops, numerous restaurants, bars and galleries. All this is set within picturesque medieval streets with wonderfully restored Gothic and Renaissance town houses. It really is a fantastic place to spend the day exploring. In July and August there are musical and theatre festivals in the open air around the town and street entertainment.
