Charming Sarlat Holiday House with Heated Pool, Dordogne, France Reviews

Great villa and pool, excellent location

There are 2 villas next door to each other at this property. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in both the 3 bedroom villa for one week and the 2 bedroom villa for one week. Both are lovely. The 3 bedroom villa has a beautiful view over Sarlat, the 2 bedroom villa is the more modern of the 2. Both had every amenity we needed. The villas are next to each other, but still very private, and a short walk to Sarlat so very convenient. The area has lots to see and do. We went sightseeing to castles, gardens, local villages and towns every morning and enjoyed swimming and relaxing in each villa's private pool in the afternoons as it was very hot during our stay. The owner and manager of the properties were really helpful and hospitable - we were even given special treats of the local delicacies to try and Etienne drove us to the railway station on our departure. We can thoroughly recommend both villas and will definitely stay there when we next return to the Dordorgne.

Private, but not isolated, great views.

We were lucky to spend the whole of May in this property. Beautifully furnished with every convenience thoughtfully provided, a light bright house with amazing views over Sarlat which is a short 10 minute stroll away. Sarlat, with it's stunning medieval quarters provides shops, bars and restaurants. Within half an hours drive you have access to Domme and Castle Nord so the location is perfect. The pool is huge and solar heated and the garden is not overlooked in any way. We have rented properties all over France for many years and have to say this one was probably the best. Sadly we have to leave in a few days and our next property in the Midi-Pyrenees will have an awful lot to live up to. Thanks Etienne for all your help, it was great to meet you and if you ever consider selling this place we would be very interested. Mr and Mrs L England

BEST POSITION IN SARLAT, NEW HOUSE, WELL EQUIPPED.

We booked this villa for the 3 weeks before Christmas, and couldn't have found anywhere better. It is obviously very new, extremely well equipped...toilet rolls, cleaning materials, cloths, tea towels, Krupps coffee maker, to be fair everything we could want. It was lovely weather while we were there, sunny every day, and the villa is south facing, to the sun streams in through the 3 sets of pation doors overlooking the pool, lovely. There is heating and air conditioning, but we only needed the heating on a night when the temperature dropped to -2! There is a 8kg washer and tumble dryer which were handy as we were there 3 weeks, but it was so sunny we could dry washing near the doors it was so hot.

Obviously we didn't use the pool, but it really was lovely, and heated too in summer, with lovely views over Sarlat, sun beds, table and chairs, inflatables etc.

The position of the villa is excellent, we walked into Sarlat most days with our dog, only 10 mins easy walk, and there is a grassy path near the villa which is even quicker, maybe 5 mins, but a bit muddy in Winter if you're going out for the evening. Close to all the tourist attractions, but no need to drive through Sarlat when it is busy in summer.

So if you are looking for a well positioned villa, this is the place for you. Thank you Etiene and Jean for all of your help, and making sure we were warm and comfortable during our stay.

The villa is very spacious, clean and modern, the shower rooms are small but perfectly adequate, good showers, plenty of hot water, good sized bedrooms with nice views.

C'était une sejour super. La maison est moderne, pratique et localisé sur un lieu fantastique pres du village. L'accueil par Etienne se déroulait efficace et très amical. Il était toujour contactable. Le propriétaire meme nous a contacté apres quelques jours pour informer que tout allait bien. Donc une sejour super dans une maison super sur une lieu fantastique avec le propriétaire et son cousin qui étaient aimable et coopératives. Seul (très) petit point de cirtique. Les matelats etaient durs. Mais encore une fois; c'était super.

Fantastic house, convenient location, superb pool

We had a wonderful family holiday in this house which is extremely well equipped, clean, nicely decorated and conveniently located. Just a short walk from the centre of Sarlat, you can still enjoy the peaceful surroundings and view over the town. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you could need for a comfortable holiday (the only item we lacked was a cheese grater!). It was incredibly hot in August so we were grateful for the air- conditioning. The heated pool was huge, very clean and a joy to use. This is very high standard accommodation in a beautiful part of France with many attractions within easy reach. Despite a slight confusion about our arrival time, owners Jean and Etienne were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Excellente Location

Excellente location que nous recommandons vivement. La maison est très comfortable et convient très bien pour une famille de 4 personnes. Tout le confort nécessaire est présent. Très calme. Il y a énormément de visites possibles dans les environs et la région est splendide. Etienne nous a très bien reçu et conseillé.

Un séjour inoubliable

Magnifique maison ! En hiver, nous avons passé des journées à températures négatives à l’extérieur, et malgré tout la vue et le soleil ont illuminé notre séjour (le canapé est en plein soleil !!!). En période de Noël vous avez un des plus grands marchés ainsi qu’une superbe patinoire. Que du bonheur !

Une merveille !!

Merci aux conseils des propriétaires, notamment concernant le fameux magret local.

La maison est tout simplement exceptionnelle. Nous avons profité de la piscine à 24°C, fin octobre – Début novembre, incroyable.

Terrasse en plein soleil, calme, pas de vis-à-vis, superbe vue, accès à pieds très facile et rapide au centre-ville.

On se sent chez soit dans cette maison parfaitement restaurée, partir devient difficile.

TRES BELLE LOCATION A NE PAS RATER

Belle maison au centre de Sarlat, très bien agencée et décorée avec goût. Belles prestations et équipements de qualité, il ne manque rien et on se sent comme chez soi. Site très calme avec belle vue de toutes les pièces. Accueil agréable et de précieux conseils ! Très bon rapport qualité prix. A VOIR SANS HESITATION.
