This newly renovated charming old house comprises 2 bedrooms and is situated in the heart of St. Chinian village.
It boasts a lovely, partially covered terrace on the 1st floor where you can enjoy the sunshine or relax in the shade, read a book or enjoy a glass of the excellent local wine.
The house has been renovated to the highest standard in the spring 2012 and combines character with comfortable well equipped accommodation. From the sitting room you have a view of the river Vernazobres. Free parking is available just outside the house under the plane trees in a quiet street. It is set in a peaceful and welcoming French neighbourhood. The village is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
The house acts as the perfect base for exploring the AOP wine districts and the local cuisine in Languedoc. The beautiful countryside offers a variety of interesting activities, walking, cycling, canoeing the river Orb or playing at nearby golf courses. Not to forget the historical sites in this old Cathar country well worth visiting.
Saint-Chinian has something on offer for everyone, be it the excellent local wines, the stunning scenery, the food in the twice weekly market, the peaceful country walks, or the slower pace of life. Within a very small radius there is horse-riding, river swimming and canoeing the Orb, walks in the Haut Languedoc National Park as well as lots of sightseeing.
On Thursdays and Sundays you can buy fresh fish, meat, cheeses, fruit and vegetables from the traditional open market at the square.

The best known beach is Valras Plage - a bustling place – the more quiet Serignan Plage with a tapas bar is also worth a visit. In different ports / towns along the coast you will find excellent fish restaurants and oyster bars. Don’t miss Bouzigues where oysters are farmed in the Etang de Thau.

The nearest local airports are Beziers/ Cap d’Agde, Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan which are served by low cost airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet. Alternatively you can fly to Girona in Spain (210 km) or Toulouse (200km). A car is recommended to make the best of the local sights and places of interests. Car hire is available in all airports.
