Set within 50 acres of a beautiful country estate consisting of a magnificent chateau and a wonderfully restored farmhouse along with a selection of other period buildings. The estate consists of gardens, woods, orchards and farmland. The main building is the chateau which was built in about 1680 and extended in about 1720. In addition there is a range of dependent buildings built in the 17th and early 18th century. Both the Farmhouse and the chateau can either be rented separately or together for large groups of up to 28 people. When rented separately, these two wonderful properties are completely private and the guests in one property will not be aware of the guests in the other.
The large and spacious stable block was renovated in 2006 and includes a function suite, ideal for formal and informal functions such as reunions, family birthdays and wedding anniversaries. It wil easily seat 28 guests .
This wonderful FARMHOUSE consists of a large living room with its open beams and large open fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen leads off of the living room and has everything you should need including an oven, hob, microwave freezer, large refrigerator and dishwasher. The adjoining dining room is spacious and has table and chairs.
Sleeping up to 10 people, the farmhouse has a total of 5 bedrooms. There are 3 double bedrooms all of which have en-suite bath or shower rooms, the other two bedrooms are both twins and share a bath/ shower room. Please note one of the double bedrooms is accessible only by an external covered staircase which ensures complete privacy. The other double bedroom is found on the ground floor.
The estate is located between the two large market towns Pont Audemer and Pont L'Eveque (famous for its cheese). Honfleur is less than 15minutes away by car, this extremely picturesque medieval port is definitely worth a visit during your stay. The international shops, casinos and fantastic beaches can be found in Deauville which is only 20 minutes away. The famous landing beaches are a little further away with Giverny and the famous Monet's garden is just over an hour away.The surrounding area is picturesque with many of the houses being traditional Norman timber frame and thatched houses. There are a number apple orchards that supply apples for the local cider and Calvados industry with many of the fields often bounded by earth banks which create beautiful picturesque lanes to explore during you stay.
