We at the LVM team extend a warm welcome to Le Vieux Monastere! Since 2003, our establishment has been providing a delightful vacation experience in the midst of the idyllic French countryside.

Upon arrival, guests at Le Vieux Monastere are immediately struck by the promise of an unforgettable stay. Nestled amidst vineyards and fields, our seven cozy holiday cottages offer intimacy and independence, making them an ideal choice for families. Situated between La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, and Cognac, and in close proximity to the historic towns of Saintes and St Jean d'Angély, LVM offers a prime location for exploring the region's many attractions.

LVM's expansive grounds are mainly lawned and provide a safe and secure environment for children, allowing parents to unwind and enjoy our facilities and location in complete tranquility.

Our 7 cottages can host groups of 4, 6 or 8 and up to 40 people in total. They have been designed to combine the comforts of home with the rustic charm of a traditional French country cottage, and they are all equipped to a high standard. Exposed oak beams and stone walls lend an attractive element to the accommodations, while contemporary fittings in the kitchens and bathrooms ensure optimal hygiene.

All cottages are located within the enclosed grounds of the monastery, providing a secure environment for children and offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We provide a range of amenities as part of our all-inclusive package, including full kitchen facilities, satellite TV, DVD players, and high-speed Wi-Fi access throughout all cottages.

Each cottage also boasts a private garden, complete with a table and barbecue. Linens and towels are provided, and we are happy to offer baby cots, high chairs, and baby baths upon prior request.
