Beautiful quiet rural area, great property and great support from the landlord
The area and the property are great. You can really relax here. The landlords and the contact person on site are very helpful. If you want to go to the sea every day, you obviously have to drive a bit. That's why the location only gets 4 out of 5 stars, although that was of course clear beforehand. The landscape and the roads are ideal for racing bikes or gravel bikes. Every morning to the bakery (very friendly and delicious) about 200m in altitude and a total of just under 10km. Early morning exercise😁 If we end up in this corner of France again, we'll definitely come back.

Very nice, quiet stay
Very warm welcome by the correspondent on site. The mill was very pleasant and clean when we arrived. Located in a quiet area, the mill is made up of two very separate rentals. We were 2 families and had a very good stay in the mill. The rental is 5 minutes from the village of Bardos equipped with many shops and 30 minutes from Biarritz. We particularly appreciated: the tasteful decoration the very well-equipped kitchen the very pleasant exterior the 4 bathrooms (showers) the separate laundry room where we could hang out our laundry Very good address.

Ideally located accommodation for a quiet stay in the countryside
We came as a family to discover a little of the Basque country. My daughter and her future husband did not know it, I took pleasure in showing them what I had already discovered a few years ago. It is still as beautiful, clean and very green.

Ice mill
Very good stay at the Ibure mill...the mill is located in a calm and relaxing environment..we were very well received by Karine...the house is clean, welcoming and functional...the whole family is very satisfied with the stay!!!!

summer house
A beautiful house, but the furnishings could be better - we would have liked cushions for the furniture on the terrace. The living room is rather small for eight people and with only a small couch it is not ideal for rainy weekdays. The surrounding area is attractive, but difficult to access without a car.

God's Mills - Grinding in Bardos
The three of us and our dog stayed in this beautiful property for 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Everything was just right here: the wonderful, lush garden, which we weren't able to explore completely until the end, it was so big and rich; the rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable; the kitchen had everything you could need; each bedroom had its own bathroom (and shower, not bathtub - great!) - priceless; washing machine and drying facilities; a wonderful place outside to eat and dream; if you wanted: German TV; absolute peace and quiet; the darkness all around made it possible to see a magical starry sky; supermarkets close enough; Biarritz and other excursion destinations were easy to get to. In the evenings, curious lizards and grasshoppers stopped by now and again. A place to feel good and relax, but close enough to the attractions in the area so that both were possible: relaxation and getting to know the extremely exciting Basque culture. The contact on site was unobtrusive and very pleasant; By a happy coincidence, the landlords themselves moved into the second house for a few days three days before our departure, so that we were able to continue the already excellent communication immediately. We also learned a few interesting facts about the mill and its history. What the landlords couldn't do was that the weather didn't let us down, we had wonderful sunshine. It was very hot at times, but the thick walls of the mill helped us not to run away. If you're looking for something special and value amenities, peace and quiet, and lots of nature, this is the place for you! If we don't come back, it's only because our age might not allow us to make the long 1800 km drive. But who knows: if we come to this area again, there's no question that we'll try to stay at the Moulin d'Iburre! Thank you very much for everything!

Moulin d'Ibure at Easter time
Our group of 5 adults (including my mother aged 85) spent a week during Easter time at Moulin d'Ibure. We enjoyed our stay very much: the location was perfect for us as we preferred the peaceful countryside to the busy tourist centres, nevertheless, it was close enough to Biarritz and the other oceanside resorts. The house was well-kept, clean, spacious and comfortably and nicely furnished. It had everything we needed. We had lots of correspondence with the owners beforehand. They were extremely helpful and gave us good good advice and information regarding our stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend it to anybody wishing to savour the beauty and atmosphere of the Basque country at a location that provides privacy and tranquility, but is not far from the attractions of larger places.
