This charming, very ancient Gard holiday house was completely renovated in 2012. It is ideally situated away from the crowd, on the northern edge of the village. It boasts 2 fenced gardens, directly facing onto the countryside. It is quiet without being isolated.
The 4 bedrooms, including 2 with a living room, all have an en-suite with toilets. They all are well separated. On the first floor, there are 2 living rooms and a Mezzanine. The main kitchen, with view over the countryside, is fully equipped.
When the weather is nice (from April to October), you can have your breakfast and your meals in the large (45 m²) outdoors dining room with a fully equipped kitchen. Guests will enjoy the pool located right next to the pool house.
Pompignon is a small village of just 800 inhabitants, positioned in the middle of a vast plain. It is very peaceful and away from the summer crowds. It has a bakery-grocery shop and a diner. Cécile, our neighbour, delivers her tasty cooking (Indian, Moroccan, Thai): convenient on the day of your arrival.
In Saint Hippolyte du Fort (9 km away), there is a supermarket, pharmacy, newsagent, organic shop and restaurants.
If you want to do more than bask in the sun next to the stone pool, then there are plenty of activities to keep anyone busy!
You can go directly from the Ostal for some splendid walks, some mountain bike rides or horse riding tours (2 equestrian centres in Pompignan). Nearby, you can practice: canoeing on the Hérault, rock-climbing on the Taillade crest (renowned throughout Europe judging by the number plates) and even paragliding from the Hortus Mountain dominating the south of the plain.
