The gite absolutely lived up to its description on the website. It wasa great base for touring all around the region and wonderful to come back for a swim and laze by the pool. Jean Noel and Agathe were fantastic hosts and as for the wine tasting.......The DVDs for the children was also a stroke of genius....Highly recommended

This is a lovely home to stay in. The cottages are designed to an extremely high standard, and are kept immaculate. The owners go out of their way to ensure the place is as perfect as possible for your arrivals. The cottage is set exactly as stated, buried in a vineyard in a sleepy village just outside Carcassonne - blissful and quiet, yet near enough to lots of happening things if required.

Throughout the stay, the owners are always around to ensure your stay is as comfortable and happy as possible, and go the extra mile to ensure you have everything you need for the stay. I would recommend this to any one thinking about staying in the area - which holds itself up as a fantastic area to visit.

After reading the other reviews, I was hopeful that I had found a 'nice' gite but what we found was exceptional: superb service from the owners from start to finish, a high standard of accommodation and facilities and a beautiful and convenient location.

The owners, Jean Noel and Agathe were friendly and very efficient during the booking process and when our flights were changed by 30 hours, making our arrival a day later than booked, a quick call from the owners soon solved the issue, much to our relief.

On arrival we were so delighted with the gite: modern, very clean and in the most stunning location, just 5 min drive from Carcassonne (easy to find with the directions that were sent). A welcome pack arranged with Jean Noel and Agathe due to our late Sunday arrival provided a simple supper and it was unseasonably warm ~ a perfect start.

The gite is in a really good location for exploring being so close to Carcassonne, the Canal de Midi, more vineyards, caves and domaines that you can shake a wine glass at and is close enough to the Med for a day trip. The pool was lovely and the view from it amazing, the village was a 15 min walk away across the vineyards for your morning croissants , but the bakery next to Intermarche was worth the short drive: try their nut bread or fig bread are just amazing.

The owners have a fantastic wine list to take the difficulty out of picking nice wines (there are so many to choose from in this region) and we ate at a restaurant they recommended Ambrosia, AMAZING.

Jean Noel and Agathe are great hosts, good company and certainly are prepared to go that extra bit further to make sure their guests are happy, a rare thing these days.
