A large and stylish and accredited 5* 3-bedroom self-catering holiday rental located on the Charente / Dordogne border in Southwest France. This traditional Charentaise Longere is nestled in a valley and has spectacular views.​

Honey fieldstone construction, original oak flooring and beams, locally made furniture, airy and light in summer and snug in winter.

The farmhouse has been beautifully renovated and has full air conditioning (Cooling and Heating), softened water and a salt chlorinated heated pool to 28.5 degrees.
 

Bedrooms and Ensuite

Carmagnac has 3 large bedrooms that are fully air-conditioned for that perfect night's sleep.

Three rooms Cotton, Linen, and Toile de Jour, Cotten and Linen are both large double rooms with Super-king size beds. Toile de Jouy is a large twin with two large single beds. For larger groups, we have one double Futon in the study and a bed settee in Cotton and two z beds.

For families with young children, we have a high chair, bath, security gates, and a day crib.

Ensuites are all private with walk-in showers (wetroom style) no fiddly doors or loose shower trays. Large basin with mirror and toilet and large heated towel rail and lashings of softened hot water.

All our rooms are complete with iron, ironing board, LED TV, AC, WiFi, and hairdryer.

kitchen and Dining Area

Carmagnac has a cooks kitchen with all the appliances and equipment to cook and prepare delicious food using locally sourced produce. The kitchen is the heart of this farmhouse, open plan so everybody can join in around the center island and the large farmhouse kitchen table or extend out onto the patio.

This is no ordinary Gite with a make-do / that will do approach and that is why we are approved and have been assessed and hold a 4-star rating from the French authorities.

We go the extra mile, cutlery that doesn't bend, sharp knives, a five ring gas hob, double electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee maker, juicer, blender and even a starter kit of spices, seasoning, and oils to get you going. We have a Tagine, fish kettle, rice maker, Crockpot and cookware and gadgets for every scrumptious meal.

Outside

We have a Ping Pong table, BBQ areas, sandpit, swing suitable for children and adults and a trampoline.
